Our Ultimate Wedding! Guide to Creating Ultimate Wedding Vows

By admin On July 21, 2010 No Comments

Every bride dreams of the ultimate wedding.

Todd and I experienced the ultimate beach wedding on March 11, 2007. We found the perfect destination, the perfect music, the perfect flowers, the perfect dress, wrote the perfect vows and exchanged the perfect rings for us to create our dream wedding. We want to share our experience so you can create your own ultimate wedding.

Creating the ultimate dream wedding does not have to be difficult, but it does take knowing what you want and what is important to both the bride and the groom.

Todd and I spent a lot of time writing our complete wedding ceremony. We did not just write the vows. We wrote the complete ceremony from opening to introduction of the bride and groom and selected music to compliment each facet of the wedding from the prelude to the closing music.

The major elements of a wedding are universal with a greeting, exchange of wedding vows, exchanging of the rings, a reading or blessing, and the pronouncement of the couple. However each element can be customized from ceremony to ceremony.

You do not have to write the entire wedding ceremony to create your ultimate dream wedding, but we do suggest you review the major elements of the ceremony and customize as appropriate. For example, we used a reading from the book of Corinthians in our opening, and we edited a reading from Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward from 1958 as our first reading.

Your wedding vows are an expression of your love and devotion witnessed by family and friends and God. And in order to create your ultimate dream wedding, you need to ensure the vows are memorable and meaningful to you. We have a collection of sample wedding vows on http://OurUltimateWedding.com from traditional wedding vows, to various religious vows, to our very own custom vows to help you get started.

As an example, here are the vows my husband wrote for me.

Wedding Vows - Groom

I, (Groom), take you (Bride ) to be my

Best friend and My True Love

The One I Laugh With

The One I Live Life With

The One I Want To Grow Old With

You Give Me Hope, Strength, and Courage

You are My World

The Sun, the Stars, and the Sky

I promise to Love, Honor, and Cherish You

Through all of our years

And Through All that Life May Bring

We want to share our experience so you can create your own ultimate wedding. We created Our Ultimate Wedding! Wedding Planning and Wedding Vows to help brides and grooms create their own ultimate wedding for a lifetime.

A Guide For Couples – Choosing Your Wedding Invitations

By admin On July 21, 2010 No Comments

There is no doubt that you will be using the wedding invitations to invite your guests. This is why all the experts maintain that you have to make sure you have put all the information about your event on the card. However, a piece of fact here is that a lot of couples would like to seek for something perfect. They do not want to select a product which is not special. In terms of design, they would like to have a really unique card.

First of all, it is very important to stress that you will be sending the wedding invitations at least two months before your big day. And it will usually take you one to two months to order and products the cards. As a result, you will need to order your wedding invitation cards about three months before your event. You will need to allow enough time for your guests to reply you. And your guests may also need some time to arrange so that they can attend your wedding.

There are just plenty of choices of styles and designs for the wedding invitations. For people who are going to have a formal wedding, a formal wedding card will be a good choice. Of course there should also be a range of informal designs you may want to go for. When the printing process of concerned, make sure you know the difference between offset printing, foil printing, thermography and engraving. You will need to make your choice based on both your preferences and your budget.

Of course it will take you some time in order to search for the best choice. Yet there are some couples who are really busy and they may not have the time to do the researches. In this case, you may want to go for some ready to use items. There are some wedding invitations which are ready to use and you can just add the wordings on them. Yet, the disadvantage of this is that you may not be able to personalize the card.

If it is possible, you can try to consider the wedding invitations with your wedding theme together. You will try to order something which is matching your theme. Again, it is not easy to do so. You may need to work with a designer to this end. For instance, if you are going to host a black and white wedding, you may want to create your wedding invitation such that it is also black and white in color.

You should also consider your envelope. In fact, the envelope is what your guests firstly see when they receive the wedding invitations. As a result, it will be making sense for you to make your envelope beautiful and elegant. In fact, you will probably order the envelope together with the wedding invitation. And most printers will provide you with designs which are matching. Yet, you will still want to make sure that you will get a beautiful envelope before you really order the cards!

The Perfect Guide To Australia

By admin On July 19, 2010 No Comments

Nature tours and city tours are a great portal to Australia if you've never been there before. It's impossible to see and do even a fraction of all that's offered in a week or two, but you can ensure action-packed, stress-free days by arranging an all-inclusive with your travel agent.

Popular destinations include Sydney, which is home of the world-renowned Opera House, a really massive tower, the Harbor Bay Bridge and the Immigrant Detention Center; Adelaide, which is close to Alice Springs, Ayers Rock, the Darwin Safari, Kangaroo Island and the Australian outback; as well as Melborne, Queensland and New South Wales for the beaches and surfing.

If you're looking for flights to Australia, then you may want to first check one of the four main air carriers, which are Qantas, JetStar, Tiger Airways and Virgin Blue. Qantas has been around the longest and, as a result, offers the most options.

They have a flyer miles program and offer specials, like a flight from LA or San Francisco to Sydney for $1098 round trip. Flying from NYC would cost you $300 more. Tiger Airways is new as of 2007 and offers cheaper fares, as does discount airliner JetStar.

Once you're in Australia, if you need to fly around, then you'll likely go through Regional Express (Rex Airlines), which flies to South Australia, Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, Maryborough, Broken Hill, Olympic Dam and Coober Pedy. Australia sometimes offers "value travel passes" for as low as $499, which covers unlimited standby travel for a month.

If you're flying to smaller cities in Western Australia and the Northern Territory, then you can catch a flight with Skywest. You can fly into Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Alice Springs, Cairns, Darwin or Tasmania.

Foods unique to Australia include: Chiko rolls (deep fried spring roll), violet crumble (honeycomb chocolate bar), Tim Tams (chocolate biscuit), Weet-Bix cereal, pie floaters (meat pies in pea soup), Boston buns (spiced bun with coconut icing), and desserts like: Anzac biscuits, frozie cups, Lamingtons, Pavlova, vanilla slices and musk sticks. Also keep your eye peeled for exotic meats like emu, kangaroo, wild boar, camel, barramundi and crocodile. If you're feeling homesick, then you could always grab Subway, Pizza Hut, KFC, "Hungry Jacks"/Burger King, Domino's Pizza or McDonalds/"Maccas."

According to "Viator", there are some things not to be missed on your trip to Australia. In Melbourne Australia, you can ride the Puffing Billy Steam Train tour into Yarra Valley wine country or the Yarra Valley Wine Experience, take the Great Ocean Road High Adventure Day tour or the Great Ocean Road small eco-tour, soar over the city at sunrise on a balloon ride, eat and drink at the Spirit of Melbourne Cruising Restaurant or the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant.

In Sydney, you can eat and drink at the 360 Bar and Dining in the Sydney Tower, go on the Blue Mountains and Australian Wildlife Day Tour or the Blue Mountains Deluxe Eco Day Tour, enjoy the Sydney Harbour Sunset Dinner Cruise, attend a Sydney Opera House or Australian Ballet Dinner performance, or buy the See Sydney and Beyond Smartvisit Card. Additionally, don't miss Ayers Rock (and the Sounds of Silence Restaurant), Kuranda Rail, Rainforestation and Skyrail Tour in Cairns or the Kangaroo Island day tour out of Adelaide!

A free gift awaits you at our portal site, where you can enrich your knowledge further about a guide to australia. Your comment is much appreciated at our Australia travel blog.

Sonoma County Wine Guide

By admin On July 18, 2010 No Comments

Sonoma County Locals Choice Wine Guide

Sonoma County is a well known grape growing and wine producing region located 30 miles north of San Francisco. The moderate weather is ideal for a wide variety of agricultural products, but vineyards, grape growing and wineries dominate Sonoma County's economy landscape.

The county seat rests in Santa Rosa which is about 65 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge.

There are over 200 award-winning wineries located in Sonoma County with twelve distinct grape growing regions, also known as appellations or designated AVAs (American Viticultural Area). These consist of Alexander Valley, Bennett Valley, Carneros-Sonoma, Chalk Hill, Dry Creek Valley, Green Valley of Russian River Valley, Knights Valley, Rockpile, Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast, Sonoma Mountain and Sonoma Valley.

For the purposes of this article we will focus on the three most northern appellations of Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley and the Russian River Valley.

The Alexander Valley is the most northern appellation in Sonoma County, is the warmest region, and borders Mendocino County. Alexander Valley is known for growing a wide range of grape varietals that grow well in warm climates such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux varietals, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah, and Sangiovese. These are red grape varietals that do well in warmer weather, whereas white varietals like cooler weather.

Some well known wineries and tasting rooms in Alexander Valley include Silver Oak, Murphy Goode, Francis Ford Coppola Winery, and Geyser Peak. The small enclave of Geyserville sits in the middle of Alexander Valley, and has a collective wine tasting room called Locals, as well as a few very good restaurants.

Dry Creek Valley is southwest of Alexander Valley and west of the town of Healdsburg, the hub where these three appellations meet. Dry Creek Valley is known for growing Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varietals, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, as well as several Rhone varietals such as Syrah, Petite Sirah, Grenache, and Mourvedre.

The Dry Creek Store is a great place to stop for lunch. It's located in the heart of the valley on Dry Creek Rd. Notable wineries in Dry Creek Valley include Dry Creek Vineyards, Ferrari-Corano, Rafanelli, Bella Vineyards, Mauritson, and dozens more.

The Russian River Valley is just south of Dry Creek Valley and also includes the sub-appellation of Green Valley. It is recognized as a premium growing region for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Warm days and the cooling influence of the Pacific Ocean provides ideal conditions for growing these varietals. Other varietals grown in the Russian River Valley include Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinto Gris.

The Russian River is repleat with restaurants and eateries throughout. Some of the most noteworthy wineries include Martinelli, Rochioli, Gary Farrel, Hartford Court, and many more.

Sonoma County is bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean and has miles of roads along its majestic coastline. Other features of Sonoma County include the Russian River, magectic redwoods, over 20 gof courses, over 40 spas, diverse festivals, numerous local Farmers' Markets and an incredible amount of top notch restaurants and eateries.

For these and many more reasons, Sonoma County is a very popular vacation destination point for people from all over the world. If you are planning a visit to Sonoma County be sure to check with the Chamber of Commerce in the particular area you will be visiting to see if there are any special events going on.

You may also want to contact any specific wineries you plan to visit and get a copy of their events calendar. Wineries are notorious for events throughout the year, many featuring food and wine pairing, music and holiday themes.

Divorce to Remarriage: Your Step by Step Guide to Step-parenting

By admin On July 18, 2010 No Comments

Preparing for remarriage is a time to focus on the realities of step family life. Is it going to be hard - you bet! Will there be rewards - sometimes, but not always! Is it worth it - depends on how hard you're willing to work to make it successful. Let's look at some pitfalls to avoid...

People rarely have a clue what a relationship with a step-child will be like. It's not because we're stupid. It's just that there aren't any guide books for step families. We just assume it's ok to play by biological family rules. A lot of false beliefs happens as a result of this. Today, I'd like to look at some of the most common and present a more realistic view of what you're likely to experience.

1. I get along fine with the children now, so our relationship will only improve once I'm married to their parent.

Children view their relationship with you VERY differently once you are married to their parent. Things are permanent now. Any hopes they may have been holding onto about mom and dad reconciling are dead, and you're a part of that death. This quite obviously can cause serious resentment.

2. The kids are only over every other weekend. That shouldn't cause much of a disruption to our home life.

Just because a child is over every other weekend, doesn't mean they can't wreak havoc on your home and life. I receive tons of questions from fledgling step-parents struggling with what to do to manage what they view as the "disruption" to their lives when the kids come to visit. It's not that they don't like the kids, it's just that their usual schedule gets turned topsy turvy.

3. My partner loves me. so obviously their kids will too.

Nowhere does it say that just because a child's parent loves you, that they have to. Many kids have the opinion that they already have 2 parents and they aren't interested in having any more. Your goal in the beginning needs to be for a friendly, civil relationship - not one full of love. If you get love, great! But, don't count on it.

4. I'm an adult... How tough can it be to win a kid over?

It can be VERY difficult to "win over" a step-child. The problem is your attitude. It's really a manipulative one. Rather than "win" them over, the focus needs to be on being present in their lives and slowly trying to build a relationship with them.

5. I won't have to be the "bad guy" with these kids. My spouse will take care of all the discipline.

While this SHOULD be the way things go, it rarely does. Most of the time single parents are so happy to have another adult in the house, they expect that person to step in and share the responsibility of discipline.

6. My new spouse will make sure the kids treat me with respect.

This is another one that SHOULD happen, but unfortunately a lot of parents are still wrestling with a sense of guilt over breaking up the family. The guilt continues as the parent feels that the children are being forced into a new and different family. Guilt can get in the way of biologicaly parents requiring their children to treat the new member of the family with respect.

There are a lot of factors that determine what your relationship with your step-child will look like. Today we looked at the most typical of reactions. If you'd like to learn others, come join us at http://www.RemarriageSuccess.com today for tons of resources, articles, forums and videos on creating the remarriage & step family of your dreams!

Guide to Event Planning

By admin On July 17, 2010 No Comments

Let's take the mystery out of event planning so that no matter your experience, knowledge or budget, we will tell you how to create simple and yet elegant special events. So with that in mind, let's start with the simple question, why throw a party?

Is it a birthday? Anniversary? Bridal or baby shower? Holiday such as Valentine's Day or 4th of July? How about just having a group of friends over to share in good food and fine wine? Any of the above and more are reasons to throw a party so here we go.

The Checklist - Party To Do List

I believe that parties are suppose to be fun from start to finish, not stressful so why not start off on the right track with creating your Party to Do List. There is no need to get anxious about having people over for a dinner party or throwing a wedding or formal event for a couple of hundred people. The same process should be implemented no matter what the guest count is. The best implementation method I believe is a party checklist. I always generate a Party To Do List because it provides me with the steps that I need from beginning to end in the party production process and is easy to repeat and adjust for future events.

This Party To Do List that I will share in part with you will turn any amateur into a party planner with flair and style and will help you smooth out the bumps along the path to creating a successful and carefree event. Below is a portion of the sample checklist that will be in our book which we hope to publish by the end of the summer so that you can use this list as a guide for your own events.

Again this is just a partial list but you can start to use this so please feel free to add to it or delete from it what does and doesn't work for you. Remember, this is just a sample list; it can be tweaked along the way and modified for your own particular use. I will list the items below and then provide in future blogs detailed explanations and examples of these categories to provide you with a bit more insight and knowledge. Whether it is a cocktail or dinner party, by following these methodical steps, you will see that it doesn't take much to create an elegant event from start to finish.

Party To Do List - Budget - Party Date & Time - Guest Count - Theme - Select, Order and Mail Invitations - Venue Selection - Create Food and Beverage Menu - Enhance Theme with Décor, Flowers, Props, etc. - Hire Caterer (if appropriate)

Again, this is just a sample of the list we have already developed and will be published in our book later this summer. Our goal is to alleviate the worries a wedding or special event can bring with our full service planning capabilities and we hope with our event planning guide you will enjoy your planning process without pulling your hair or teeth out.

With over 15 years in the special event industry, Andrea is looking to the future of incorporating event planning and social media. To talk via Twitter or learn more about how to incorporate your event planning needs with social media then check out A Wynning Event.com.

A Guide To Wedding Jewellery – 5 Top Tips

By admin On July 17, 2010 No Comments

Once you have bought your wedding dress, you'll naturally start thinking about wedding jewellery and wedding accessories to complete your look.  With thousands of designs available, it can be tricky to know where to start.  With this in mind, here is a five point guide to help you find the perfect wedding jewellery for your big day:

1. Enhance your wedding dress, don't take attention away from it.  If your dress is very detailed, choose plain but beautiful wedding jewellery - less can be more.  Conversely, If your dress is very plain, you may want to dress it up a little more with more detailed and intricate jewellery.

2. The neckline of your wedding dress is important.  A simple neckline will be transformed by more detailed jewellery - like a diamante necklace.  However if your dress has a very complex neckline, you may want to skip the necklace and just choose some beautiful earrings.

3.  Think about how you want to wear your hair.  There are numerous options for bridal headwear, like tiaras, headbands etc.  Your wedding hair accessories should also compliment your dress and jewellery.  If you are planning on wearing your hair ‘up', a few simple pins can suffice.  If  you are planning on wearing a tiara, the less is more approach is relevant here too,  I.e. detailed wedding dress, simple tiara.

4. Borrow from your mum!  What better way to honour your mother or grandmother than wearing something from their wedding.  Quite often, items like Tiaras are kept along with wedding dresses and the older traditional styles can look just as beautiful as more modern contemporary pieces.

5. When you have bought your dress and decided on your look, consider buying your wedding jewellery online. There is a great selection on eBay and one of the best little wedding jewellery boutique shops is called Cheap Chic Wedding Jewellery.  They sell beautiful chic, but cheap wedding jewellery. Click the link for their latest range.

Your Ultimate Guide to Date Idea

By admin On July 17, 2010 No Comments

If you are looking for date ideas a very romantic thing to do is to go on a Modern Wine Rack and cheese picnic. This can be done for lunch or dinner, the choice is yours. It can be exceedingly memorable and romantic if you do it right. Here is how to put together a romantic and memorable wine and cheese date.

1. First you have to plan on where you will take your date. It is often best if you go to a place outdoors that means something to the both of you. Next decide if you will drive or will you hire a limo? I guess that depends on how much you want to spend.

2. So, what to do now is buy all the stuffs you will need by going out. Don't worry the cost for everything, even to do it right will cost less than a nice dinner out and it will be much more memorable. Here's a checklist of what you will need.

3. Picnic basket (some come complete with all the items you need for a picnic)

4. Linen table cloth.

5. Chairs (or maybe you will be sitting on a table already at the location)

6. Glass or plastic wine glasses. (Be sure they are long stem and if you are a real wine lover with wide mouths for better enjoyment of the wine.)

7. Cheese

8. Crackers, or fruit or a roll of bread or a smoked meat or fish product.

9. A cutting board for the cheese and knife to cut with.

10. A wine opener

11. Flowers-don't forget flowers....always a nice touch.

12. Personal silverware

13. Napkins-paper or linen... it depends on the statement you want to make.

14. Water and cups or glasses

15. A sweet treat for desert. This could be cheese cake, chocolate or whatever you are your date enjoys.

16. Wine-can't forget the wine.

17. Light source or candles

What wine and cheese will be best together?

You want to make certain you bring cheeses that work well together and wines as well. First decide on the wine you will bring and then match the cheeses.

Cabernets generally go best with a hard, sharp cheese.

A sweeter, lighter cheese usually goes well with lighter, white wines.

Here are a few specifics on wine pairings with cheese that often work well together:

• Rieslings and Gouda

• Pinot Noir and Brie

• Cabernets and Sharp Cheddar

• Chianti and Mozzarella

What is most important is the individual taste preferences of you and your date. Pick wines and cheeses that you both enjoy.

Having a Wall Wine Rack and cheese picnic can be very memorable and romantic. If you are searching for romantic date ideas, this should be at the top of your list. If you are well planned it will take place without a hitch and you are sure to score big points with your date.

If you enjoy wine you may be interested in information on the newest and latest wine racks and carriers. You can learn that here at:Modern Wine Rack. Also, here is where you can go for a great selection in the Wall Wine Rack.

A Practical Guide for Avoiding Wedding Disasters

By admin On July 17, 2010 No Comments

There seems to be no such thing as a disaster-free wedding. Most people find their wedding day to be plagued with at least one or two significant wedding disasters. This article discusses some simple tips on how to handle them so that the disaster does not have to ruin, or even heavily impact, your wedding day.

There seems to be no such thing as a disaster proof wedding. It is not uncommon for couples to find their wedding day to be plagued with one or two significant disaster. This article isn't really so much about how to avoid your wedding disaster, or even how to minimize the wedding disaster potential, but how to handle one so that the disaster does not have to ruin, or even heavily impact, your wedding day.

Planning a wedding is one half optimistic jubilation and dream realization and one half delegation. Division of labor or proper delegation on your wedding day plans may result to a fabulous wedding. If, however, you become too demanding, delegate too heavily and heap piles of responsibilities onto just one or two people, or try to master every chore yourself, you are definitely asking for wedding day disasters to show up and make themselves well known on the big day.

Small Disasters, Large Disasters, and Opportunities

Disasters are going to range from small to large. Anything can happen on a wedding day. The flower girl might wet her pants or the groom might faint, forget his vows, or forget where the church is and what time he is supposed to be there. Using your potential disasters as an opportunity requires a very special mind set, but one that anyone is able to achieve. Weddings become so important, especially to women, because they earmark an event that is "supposed to happen" in a very "specific manner."

When we can start to let go of the "supposed to" and "should" theories, then we can focus in a more determined fashion on what is most vital to us, why we are going through with this highly expensive and taxing endeavor, and how we can make sure we enjoy our own wedding day. For all the money, time, energy, and thought that we put into a wedding, so many men and women alike find that they either barely even remember the day or didn't have time to enjoy the day. We usually spend more money, time, and energy on wedding planning than we do for vacations and yet we don't completely enjoy them or at least remember them? How logical is that?

Turning a problem into an opportunity is not easy, but it is very simple. The primary step is learning to recognize any chance or room for improvement or change from the traditional wedding ceremony. The second is learning to allow yourself an ideal emotional day and let the details fall as close to as you hoped as possible. If your emotional experience is beautiful and life affirming, the physical experience around you will be better.

A Change in Priorities Breathes New Life into Weddings

A simple change in your priorities may be just what you need in order to achieve your perfect wedding. Simple changes in your priorities or minor shift in your perspective might as well change your entire wedding day experience. The ability to be flexible no matter what happens is just the beginning. Nothing will change and it will not make you less joyful while you exchange wedding vows if you allow your flower girl to change into different clothes after she wets her pants. Watching your abouttobehusband go on the fly when it is his turn to recite his wedding vows allows you to witness honest beauty rather than watching him blow it. These small but vital changes in perspective are a strong piece of bringing together the perfect wedding day. Ditching the ideas of "could be" and "should be" and "want it to be" and transforming your day into an honest celebration of love, family, friends, and the future creates a while new vibe for the entire wedding.

With enough perspective alterations your wedding day can go from that story book fantasy that ends with a notated disaster that stands to ruin the whole day to a beautiful day without pretense, without judgment, and without emotional distress.

An Owner?s Guide to Basic Bmw Parts and Simple Maintenance

By admin On July 17, 2010 No Comments

Modern cars have become so advanced and computerized that most of the maintenance is beyond the scope of the average weekend mechanic. Today’s BMW is not your father's car that could be kept going with a screwdriver and a wrench. However there are many BMW parts serviceable by the owner.

Engine Tune Up

Although our car engines may have computer brains, they still run on the basic spark plug system and even the best computer control can't overcome faulty connections. Maintaining these BMW parts is still an easy way to keep your engine running at peak efficiency.

Inspect your spark plugs at least every 30,000 miles and replace them if they show signs of wear. Pull only one plug at a time so you can be sure to get it back in the same cylinder. If a particular plug needs to be replaced more often than the others, this may be a sign of problems in the cylinder. Regardless of how good the plugs look, replace them every 100,000 miles.

The distributor and rotor will degrade over time and get cracks in their plastic casings. Moisture seeps in through these cracks and corrodes the metal inside which leads to misfiring. Replace as recommended by your manual or more often if they appear worn. Modern spark plug cables are nearly maintenance free but should still be occasionally tested for proper resistance.

Replace Your Filters

Filters are one of the cheapest BMW parts you can replace and yet are one of the leading causes of problems if left unchecked. A blocked filter restricts the flow through, which puts unnecessary strain on the engine and leads to more serious problems. Never be tempted to save money by not replacing a filter on schedule.

Oil filters should be replaced every time you change your oil. As the oil circulates through the engine, it picks up an assortment of contaminants such as soot or rust. This process helps keep your engine clean and running well and is just one of the functions of the oil system.

The fuel filter provides a similar function, trapping contaminants in the fuel before they can get to the engine. Even if you use the cleanest fuel you will still need to replace this filter. Rust and sludge build up in the gas tank, eventually finding their way into the fuel line. The manual probably says replace every 30,000 miles but many mechanics recommend replacing yearly or if you have any problems such as stalling or loss of power.

Finally, the air filter and PCV breather filter make sure that only clean air gets into your engine. Without a steady supply of air, your engine suffocates and combustion is poor. It’s not enough to simply blow out the contaminants. Tiny particles embed in the filter and can't be removed.

A few dollars of BMW parts can add years to the life of your car and save you thousands in serious future repairs.

A Guide To The Edinburgh Festival

By admin On July 17, 2010 No Comments

Taking place each August, the Edinburgh International Festival is the world's biggest and most accepting arts festival, inviting performers of all disciplines to put on shows at a hundreds of venues across the Scottish capital. Unlike other arts events, there are no barriers to entry at the Edinburgh Festival - and associated festivals such as the Edinburgh Fringe - meaning that anyone who can afford to put on a show is welcome. Those that can't can take their show out into the streets instead.

Visiting Edinburgh at the height of festival season can sometimes be a daunting and dizzying experience, with promoters being eager to distribute flyers and attract you to their show over the thousands of other performances competing for your attention. The trip north doesn't have to be a confusing experience when you take the time to check out your favourite acts beforehand in the festival brochure and on venue websites.

Not everyone arrives in Edinburgh prepared, of course, and part of the fun of the festival can be trying something new - as even if a show turns out to be a dud, it will at least make the good ones stand out even more. Many of the country's best-loved comedy acts have started out in modest shows at the Fringe, so you never know if the young comedian you're buying tickets for could be the next Stewart Lee or Frank Skinner. By heading to the festival towards the end of the month, you will also have the benefit of several weeks' worth of reviews to draw on for guidance - unless you prefer the risky road to entertainment, of course.

Despite its reputation, visiting the Edinburgh Festival doesn't have to be a strain on your wallet, especially with initiatives such as the Five Pound Fringe that aims to give newcomers and lesser-known performers a chance by charging less than half the standard ticket price for Fringe shows. The popular Free Fringe takes things further still, with performers putting on shows for love rather than money - though voluntary donations collected at the end could be hugely beneficial to helping the artists survive in that demanding month.

Other parts of your festival trip don't have to break the bank either. Although many hoteliers will naturally push up their prices during the festival month, you can still find great rates on accommodation and trains to Edinburgh when booking ahead of your journey, rather than leaving it until the last minute.

Choosing Wedding Shower Invitations – Your How To Guide

By admin On July 16, 2010 No Comments

Forget stodgy ceremonies and stiff etiquette. Wedding showers are a fun way to help a bride prepare for married life. Whether you're planning a formal party presided over by the dignified Great-aunt Hazel or a casual soiree with a group of sorority sisters, wedding shower invitations are a great way to give fellow partiers a sneak preview of the festivities.

While choosing wedding shower invitations is not as nerve-wracking as picking wedding invitations, you still want to create a great impression for the event. Perhaps the most important part of your job will be to set the overall tone by choosing the right style of invitations.

Casual with class

Will it be a backyard barbecue that includes the guys as well as the girls? Will guest be playing games like bridal bingo? Will the bride be embarassed at least once during the shower (all in good taste, of course). Let guests know what's in store for them by sending invites that say, "We're going to have a great time."

Designs - Die-cut papers are one fun way to invite guests to the event. Invitation paper shaped like a heart or an umbrella are casual and unique attention getters. If the bride and groom will celebrate their nuptials at a dream destination, consider using an invite printed to look like a U.S. passport. Online printers who specialize in wedding invitations offer a wide variety of shower-appropriate stationery pieces.

Colors - Just say "no" to white or ivory papers in favor of bold colors or flirty patterns. Consider matching the paper to the bride's personality. Use paper textured like soft sand for a beach baby or leopard-print borders for an animal lover.

Delivery - Mailing wedding shower invitations is the tried, true, and etiquette-approved method of inviting guests. However, there are other options. More and more wedding shower planners are using email to notify guests of the upcoming event. Even the masters of manners at the Emily Post Institute give the go-ahead for sending wedding shower invitations by email--especially if the guests are wired. Remember, don't leave out non-techie guests. Send a handwritten note or personally invite them to join the festivities.

Fuss-free formal

Even if the wedding shower features elderly relatives, catered meals, and elaborate table settings, you're not locked in to ultra-fussy invites--leave that for the wedding invitations.

Designs - Formal elegance is easy if you stick to simple styles. Raised panels and colored borders can add dimension to your wedding shower invitations. Fonts with a calligraphy-style look also add a classy touch to your invites. Find the widest selection of designs from online specialists who sell wedding invitations.

Colors - Keep it simple with classic ivories, whites, or other neutrals. Dress up the wedding shower invitations by adding hints of color to the borders or fonts.

Delivery - Like wedding invitations, sending shower invites through the mail is favored by etiquette experts. While you could send electronic wedding shower invitations to save money, it will sacrifice some of the event's formality.

Valentine’s Day – A Guide For Cool And Stylish Gifts

By admin On July 16, 2010 No Comments

Can you believe it is just around the corner again? Valentine’s Day; the romantic day that can make or break some relationships, the day out of the whole year where your romantic behaviour should be impeccable, lots of sweet nothings being whispered, ladies looking stunning and guys ever so handsome, the best wines and food for lovers and of course the highly important special Valentine’s gift.

No matter whether you love it or not it is hard to escape and as they say if you can’t beat them join them.  When it comes to that special gift you don’t want to feel wanting as your partner reacts with thinly disguised boredom or worse still disappointment.  You have the chance to move a new relationship onto a different level by choosing a stylish, cool Valentine’s gift.  Whether you’re buying for a girl or a guy there are some great ideas here to score you brownie points in your relationship.

If you have a partner who enjoys entertaining there are some super sleek gifts
out there that you may not have considered before.  Show a bit of finesse by choosing a set of culinary concepts olive picks which are so delicate and cool at the same time.  This is a gift which shows class.

Along the wining and dining lines
you could show your partner that you know that he/she is cultured by buying a culinary concepts heart bottle stop so that you and your loved one can savour the last of your wine, or you don’t need to feel bad about opening  a second bottle as you have this fabulous bottle stop!

Or for the morning after a romantic night in or out you can buy a heart shaped toast rack which holds four pieces of toast making it perfect for couples.  Another gift which is practical also as well as cool is a silver plated water pitcher which in reality you could make great sangria or some other party drink, or of course be healthier and use just with water.  This has a beautiful leather handle.  More culinary gift ideas include a heart shaped bowl and spoon, heart coffee spoons, a silver plated heart dish or a two tier heart cake stand.

For those who are more into bodily pampering as opposed to pampering the taste buds
there are some lovely gift ideas also.  Find yourself and your loved one giving each other leg and foot massages with this wonderful I Coloniali Chinese Leg and Foot Massage cream which has sophora japonica with excellent stimulating and revitalising effects.  Take away all the tiredness from those lovely legs and feet and give fresh energy to your body and mind at the same time, sounds great?  If you want a gift which helps sets the mood for love, massage and more, then another option is the I Coloniali Natural Wax Candle with the fragrance of myrrh.  It is very elegant and evocative.

Another approach which can be suitably romantic is to go with symbolism
, where there are options such as a circle of life pendant from tales from the earth which symbolises that life is a circle which can be embraced regardless of your age or stage of life.  There is also the lucky seven rings necklace which represents luck for the seven days of the week and by extension every day of your life.

Finally for a safe and classy bet
for the guy who wears shirts are the range of Simon Carter cufflinks which feature onyx, mother of pearl and catsye depending on which design you choose.  One of my personal favourites are the aspirin cufflinks which are super cool and very practical; your guy won’t be caught out ever again without a cure for his headache.

Enjoy an extra romantic Valentine’s with your crowning glory of a stylish cool gift!

Ideally romance should be an everday thing but Jackie knows that for many it is not and wants to help you for Valentine's Day.  This guide includes tips from the fabulous Culinary Concepts range as well as the I Coloniali range and lots more.

These fabulous gifts and more can be found at www.madmolly.co.uk
