What Can Extracurricular Activities Give to Your Child
Many people wonder why do children need extracurricular activities and how many activities is the necessary minimum or maximum. In short, children do need hobbies and there is no definite number of activities appropriate for children of particular age.
Why do children need extracurricular activities?
Children will have the opportunity to rest from their academic activities. Reportedly, the best way to have some rest is to switch over to another activity.
Children may choose their further occupation due to their extracurricular activities.
Extracurricular activities broaden your child's world outlook. And you never know what knowledge your will need in future.
Children will have less time for bad habits. Do you think your child will never come into the bad company? With your child's extracurricular activities any bad company will have no chances.
Extracurricular activities make a child more disciplined and well-organized. The child understands that he/she needs so much time for study, this amount of time for other activities, and some definite time for parties, friends, etc.
What amount of activities is just enough not to overload your child?
There can be no definite answer for this question because all the children are so different. The main thing is to take control of your child's school life so that these extracurricular activities did not prevent your child from study.
If your child spends too much time on such activities and his/her academic performance becomes worse you should interfere. Of course, you should not just forbid your child to quit these activities. You should explain to your child that study is the most important, and extracurricular activities can be only supporting.
You and your child should decide what extracurricular activities to participate and to what extent.

Essential Tips for Parents: How to Help Your Child in School
Here are several tips to implement if you are looking for ways to help your child in school. Creating a plan for your children's education requires more than a fully funded 529 Plan to pay for college. There are 13 incremental steps (kindergarten to grade 12) that lead up to college, and how to help your child perform well in school each year takes planning and consideration that should start when children are babies. Parents should continue to revise and augment these plans, but some problems can be prevented if parents make some deliberate choices early on for their children. It's much easier to start on the right track than to have to change routes in the middle of the journey. Parents should make important decisions about how to nurture their children physically and how to convey that they value education.
PHYSICAL WELL-BEING
The easiest way to help your child in school is by ensuring your child's physical well-being. It is vital that students feel good as they try to learn, both at school and at home. For starters, making deliberate choices about what your children eat will certainly improve their health, but it also helps children to concentrate better in school. In her WebMD article, "Top 10 Brain Foods for Children," Jeanie Lerche Davis describes ten super foods that will help children do their best thinking at school. Included in that list are salmon, eggs, peanut butter, whole grains, oatmeal, berries (e.g., strawberries, cherries, blueberries, blackberries, etc.), beans, colorful vegetables (e.g., tomatoes, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, carrots, spinach, etc.), milk and yogurt (recent research suggests a tremendous vitamin D deficiency among children.), and lean beef (or meat alternative). Note the lack of sugar and white carbs. Making a commitment to serve the best brain foods to children will help your child in school.
Another critical consideration is the amount and quality of sleep that children get each night. Sometimes, parents will send a sleep-deprived child to school with the warning that the parent had better not hear about the child falling asleep in school, or they'll ensure an earlier bedtime. Not only are these children inattentive; they're also irritable and more inclined to be a discipline concern. Parents should not rely on contact from teachers about their sleepy children in school because a patient teacher is more inclined to assume that this is a one-time occurrence and probably won't inform the parent each time. The fact is that children and teenagers need a lot of sleep each night. The National Sleep Foundation asserts, "…too many school-age children get less sleep than experts recommend–-about 9.25 hours/night for teens and between 9 – 11 hours for younger children (5-12)." The quality of sleep is important as well. If children are going to bed early enough but have sleep issues, it is unlikely that they are getting enough quality sleep. It is in their best interest for parents to seek professional help for their children if this is a concern. Getting a sufficient amount of quality sleep is second to proper nutrition in helping children perform better in school.
A third consideration for a child's physical well-being has to do with brain development. Providing the "brain super foods" mentioned above are the base, but the proper functioning of the brain extends beyond that. Dr. Susan Hardwicke, a respected cognitive psychologist with 25 years of experience in the cognitive sciences, compares the brain to a laptop battery. The battery powers the computer well as long as it has a charge on it, but eventually, with continued use, it loses power and will shut down completely. It requires sleep, nutrition, and physical exercise to "charge" it up again. One of the things that deplete children's' brains quickly is too much electronic stimulation. The constant changes of images take place rapidly—about every 15 seconds--during television viewing and video gaming. This constant shifting requires quick adjustments in attention and focus, and this tires the brain, especially in children.
Children's brains are still growing and will continue to grow even after adolescence—until age 25! The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests that children under age two should not watch any television (or video games or movies) because it hinders their brain development. Children older than two, the APA suggests, should have no more than two hours of quality viewing each day. Parents of children with attention and focus issues should greatly limit the amount of "screen time" that their children have to no more than an hour a day. Of course, this is not easy to enforce, but it's crucial if they want to maximize their children's performance in school. Certainly, modifications can be made: e.g., allowing them more viewing time on the weekends but requiring significant breaks; occasionally letting them have extra viewing time for a special broadcast; recording a program that the child wants to see for later viewing; etc. Nurturing their children's brains is a relatively new concept for most parents, but it really should be part of the academic support that they provide for their children.
VALUING EDUCATION
Just as important as deciding how to enhance their children's physical well-being, is the importance of conveying to their children how much they value education. This should be part of their children's earliest memories. Does that mean that a parent should start home-schooling their toddler? Not in the way that you imagine, but a parent is a child's first teacher. Parents can demonstrate that they value education by implementing structure and experiences in reading, time for studying, and partnering with teachers.
Reading
The foundation of a child's education is how well they read. Let's face it, good readers do well in school, and poor readers do not. Even people who don't enjoy reading can be good readers. To help your child in school, parents who don't enjoy leisure reading still need to demonstrate its importance to their children. Children's first reading "lessons" can begin in the womb. There is a body of research that supports the idea that the fetus responds to reading aloud. Even if parents don't read to their unborn children, all children should be read to daily starting from the first few days of life until they can read on their own. Even then, emerging readers are delighted to show off their newfound skills by reading to their parents. What a motivator for them! To get an older, reluctant reader to improve, have him or her read to a parent or younger sibling as a meal is being prepared, for example.
Requiring a child to read consistently is very important, but it should not be a case of "Do what I say, not what I do." So, parents will need to be early and consistent role models for their children. Also, it might be wise if parents don't tell their children that they, themselves, don't like to read when the children are young. If the child is a reluctant reader, they won't be able to use that as a reason to avoid reading. If parents aren't leisure readers, they can still let their children see them reading: e.g., reports for work, magazines, news articles, etc. Children should remember seeing their parents reading throughout their childhoods.
To help your child in school aside from being a good role model, an important ritual to establish is to implement a family silent reading time at least five days a week. That means that the television and other distractions are turned off, and everyone in the family grabs a book, a magazine, etc. at the same time. For 30 minutes, everyone reads. Sometimes, someone can read aloud a short passage that really excites or confuses him or her. Even the non-readers in the family can have an audio book to listen to (with headphones) while they follow along during this time so that this becomes routine to them as well.
Studies show that comprehension and vocabulary improve as a natural by-product of frequent reading. It's the single, most important way for parents to increase their children's reading levels. Being a good reader improves a child's chances of doing well in all subjects, so parents would be wise to implement a reading focus that incorporates these strategies early in their children's lives.
Study Environment
Once your child is school-aged, you can help your child in school by providing the best study environment for your children. Study time should be consistent and includes both homework AND studying! Most children think that completing written assignments is all they need to do, but they also need to study. The promise that a child can watch television or play video games "When you finish your homework" is a major reason that children do not study. Usually, there is the mad rush to complete the written work just so they can go do something more enjoyable. It should be noted here that parents need to help their children manage their time so that they do not have too many extracurricular activities each week. A good rule of thumb is no more than two extra activities—one physical and one non-physical is preferable--each week. Sometimes children are just overscheduled and overwhelmed doing too many things that they have nothing left when it's time to study.
With firm understanding that children must devote the time to their schoolwork, many may ultimately resort to more desirable activities such as reading. If necessary, parents need to enroll their children in a study skills course because just sending an uninformed child to a room with the demand that they study is a frustrating waste of time. Even though children may want to study, children will resort to just looking at the pages and become more and more disillusioned with school and education in the process when these futile efforts do not lead to success at school.
At the very minimum, parents would serve their children well if they provide a quiet, well-lit location that is stocked with ample supplies. Adjustments may need to be made if the child requires more supervision. For example, children could study near the kitchen as a meal is prepared, but parents should limit distractions such as talking on the telephone and having the television on as much as possible until the child can handle study time without parental supervision. Having a set time and a set place for study is a very important part of the education plan that parents create for their children.
Teacher-Parent Partnership
Parents should view teachers as partners in their children's education. That means that no disparaging comments about the teacher should be uttered in front of the child. (Of course, if needed, parents should seek administrative intervention for serious problems with a teacher but not with the child's knowledge.) Parents need to be actively engaged in monitoring their children's performance and progress.
It is a great idea to make themselves available to teachers in the most efficient way possible. One teacher-appreciated gesture is to provide the teacher with an email address for quick updates. It's faster than telephone calls, and email communication guarantees that information is communicated in a timely manner. Playing phone tag can be a tremendous loss of time. Teachers also appreciate your providing them with timely updates via email. It makes communication easier.
Also to help your child in school, parents should pay attention to important dates. They would be wise to take the academic calendar that is given at the beginning of the school year and incorporate vacations, parent-teacher conference weeks, and report card dates (including interim report card dates) on the family's calendar and/or their PDA's (with alarms!). In the "busyness" of life, it is easy to lose track of time. Before they know it, weeks have passed without realizing it! It's important that parents are aware of their children's progress or lack of progress so that issues are not left unchecked too long. Unaddressed issues can mean permanent problems if they are not resolved quickly. If nothing else, parents should contact teachers during the report card dates if they are not getting them in a timely manner. Students who know that their parents are communicating and working with teachers regularly tend to perform better in school.
A well thought-out education framework that addresses their children's physical needs and that obviously values education is good parenting and will help your child in school. Many times, parents fly by the seat of their pants and find themselves being reactionary instead of proactive. If their children happen to be natural self-starters, things work out rather well, but if their children don't have this innate initiative, trouble ensues. The suggestions provided in this article can help parents establish a good framework for thinking about how to enhance their children's education. The best advice is to start construction of this framework well in advance of the start of school, but these things can be implemented any time in order to help your child in school.

In Bible versus Quran: O peoples, O earth! Hear and listen (1)
This is the first article in the series: O peoples, O earth! Hear and listen in the Bible versus the Quran (1).
The Bible says: Hear, O peoples, all of you, all of them! Listen, O earth and all it contains; all who are in it; the Lord God Love is coming out of his place; will come down and tread upon the high places of the earth and the mountains will melt under the LORD God Love.
The Quran says: O people; Fear your Lord and Keep your duty to your Lord.
And fear the torment of the day of resurrection when the parent will not be able to avail the child in aught in relation to Allah's chastisement, nor the child to avail the parent. Surely Allah’s promise, of resurrection after death, is absolutely true; it will certainly take place. So do not let the life of this world deceive you, and do not let Satan; deceive you concerning Allah.

How is a Child With Autism Syndrome?
Autism is not a disease, but a developmental desorder of brain function. Symptoms of autism syndrom usually appear during the first three years of childhood and continue through life. Children are social creatures who like to smile, laugh, cuddle and play. But there are also children taht seem to exist in their own world, where there are repetitive routines, odd behaviors, comunication problems or total lack of social awarness or interest in others.
A child with autism syndrome who goes to school is generally withdrawn and he will not even make eye contact. Many cildren engage in repetitive movements such as rocking and hair twirling in self-injurious behavior such as biting or head-banging.
Children with autism syndrome tend to start speaking later than usual and tahey refear to themselves by name instead of "I" or "me", they may speak in a sing-sang voice or use peculiar language.
There are some cildren with autism syndrome that are very bright and do very good in school and they may be able to live independently when tahey grow up. There are autistic cildren with talent in art, music and other area.
There isn't one specific cause of autism syndrome and for taht it remaind unknown. Research has focused on wether chemical inbalances, differences in the brain, genetics or problems of the central nervous sistem. However, what do we know is that parents do not cause autism.
There is no cure for autism syndrome and children will have it throught taheir live. Children with autism syndrome need educational programs and a comprehensive evaluation. Psychiatrists are trained to diagnose children and adolescents with autism sindrome and also to help their families cope the stress. Also a rege of medication can be prescribed to help reduce aggressive and violent behaviour.
With educational programs designed to meet cildren wit autism syndrome individual needs and specialised adult support services, they can live and sometimes work in the society.

ADD Symptoms – How To Know If Your Child Has ADD
The first thing that may be noticeable about an ADD affected child is the increased level of physical acitivity, though hyperactivity does not always point to ADD and usually combines other factors such as impulsive behavior, lack of attention or a certain tendency to be distracted.
While being distracted and having a reduced attention span are typical signs of ADD that go hand in hand, other symptoms include having a limited ability to attend to details and not being able to see tasks through till the end, which can even persist for more than six months at a stretch in extreme cases, adversely affecting the daily school work of the child.
Children diagnosed with ADD exhibit impulsive behavior that can manifest itself in many ways, including running away from their desks, getting distracted towards other classroom happenings and losing focus on the task at hand besides given answers to questions that were not asked; all these are common traits of ADD affected kids.
ADD-er kids are also very sensitive to criticism and comments made to them need to be toned down to prevent them getting hurt and too upset to perform productively as this hypersensitivity is a hindrance in letting them concentrate, resulting in poor grades even as they do not exactly have a learning difficultly. Thus, ADD affected kids in particular, need more understanding than regular kids as this low attention span makes them incapable of completing assigned tasks, lowering their schoolwork output.
ADD affected boys are different from girls diagnosed with the same condition: while boys are usually more active, girls exhibit short attention span in class but the similarity is that both sexes are difficult to manage due to unruly behaviour they exhibit, which can make them aggressive to the extent of being abusive. However, since all ADD affected children are separate individuals, they should be treated differently for the methods of controlling undesirable behavior and caregivers are advised to consult and verify their aggression and hyperactivity levels as being indicative of ADD by visiting a medical professional as only an expert can diagnose this condition accurately.

Child Bedwetting Is Nobody?s Fault
Child Bedwetting is not due to a behavioral or mental problem or laziness of the child. Bedwetting is a medical problem beyond your child's physical control, and it can take a huge emotional toll. Child Bedwetting is not considered a problem until children are about 7 years of age.
Child Bedwetting is actually more common than most people realise affecting up to half a million children and teenagers every night. It occurs at night, and often in children who have no trouble or little trouble controlling their bladder during the day. Bedwetting is a syndrome that at present has no complete cure; it is normally just part of the growing up process for any child and bedwetting can disappear as quickly as it started.
Bedwetting is defined into two categories, primary in which children who have never had dry nights, and secondary where children who have recently started wetting the bed, but who had previously been dry for 3-6 months.
Child Bedwetting can be a real challenge for parents: broken sleep, extra washing, worried for their child and so forth. Bedwetting has few serious side effects, but one of the physical discomforts it may cause is skin problems. But a concerned parent mustn't punish his/her child for bedwetting.
As a child bedwetting is an isolating condition: not something you’ll tell your friends and something which will certainly make you think twice about holidays and sleepovers with other children. However, there is no reason anyone should get wound up over a bedwetter since child bedwetting is so common.
Bedwetting is often caused by an overactive bladder, but it can be the result of problems with the development of the bladder. A child usually wets the bed because the amount of urine that they produce is more than their bladder can hold, and they do not wake up even though their bladder is full.
Primary bedwetting can occur due to one of combinations of causes like holding the urine for a long time during the night; inability to wake up during sleep when the bladder is full; ability to produce large amount of urine during evening and night time; and finally poor toiletry habits. Any infection in the bladder also causes an infection in the urinary tract.
Bedwetting is a condition that usually does not require any treatment. Instead of punishment, there are a variety of bedwetting solutions that can be tried to eliminate the bedwetting problem completely. One of these bedwetting solutions is a bedwetting alarm. It takes a while to get used to, but these alarms are the most effective among the bedwetting solutions available.
Another one of these bedwetting solutions is treatment by drugs. Medication is not one of the bedwetting solutions to try if you're looking for a more permanent solution. This is one of the bedwetting solutions that do not aid in developing the child's internal brain functions. Some medications prescribed by a doctor will help prevent child bedwetting. Although they may prevent bedwetting, they don't help the child develop better bladder control.
There is no way to force a child’s kidneys to make less urine, to hold more urine or to increase their arousal from sleep. In less than 45 minutes, you can discover what will solve your child bedwetting problems forever. Find out more aboutChild Bedwetting Solution

The Sons of the Lord God in Bible versus Quran (16)
This is the 16th article of the series:" The Sons of the Lord God in Bible versus Quran".
The Bible affirms the Faith in the Son of God by saying who is overcoming the world? It is only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. The Noble Quran says that it is an unforgivable sin when you say or believe that the Almighty Creator has a son or sons; this major sin will lead to the Eternal Fire in the Hereafter.

The Sons of the Lord God in the Bible (16)
The Bible (1 John 5:1-5) says that everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? It is only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
--------------------------------------------
1 John 5:1-5 in five different versions of the Bible:
New International Version
1Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well. 2This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands. 3This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
American Standard Version
1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is begotten of God: and whosoever loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2 Hereby we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and do his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatsoever is begotten of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that hath overcome the world, even our faith.
5 And who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
English Standard Version
1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. 3For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. 4For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
King James Version
1Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
3For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

The Sons of the Lord God in the Quran (16)
The Noble Quran makes the topic of the sons of God very clear and says that Allah, the Almighty Creator, has neither a son nor a partner.
In addition, The Quran makes the signs that Jesus was not god very understandable.
The Quran says that Allah will say unto Jesus at the Resurrection in rebuke of his followers: ‘O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to mankind in the life of this world, “Take me and my mother as gods, besides Allah”?’
Jesus will say unto Allah: ‘Glory be to You!, exalted be You above all that does not befit You, such as having a partner and so on. It is not mine; it is unjustified for me, to say what I have no right to.
It is not befitting for the Majesty of Allah to take to Himself a son.
Allah is exalted, magnified; He is above what they associate with Him of son or partners. Allah is far transcendent above all that they ascribe unto Him!
In Islam, this point is very important faith wise.
Again, it is unforgivable sin to say or to believe that the One Almighty Creator [who is Allah or God or the Lord or Jehovah or whatever name(s) you are giving Him] has a son or Sons.
From the Islamic point of view, the conclusion of this fundamental topic that may establish or destroy the faith is that:
Any one who believe that the Almighty Creator has a son or Sons; he messes up his faith and is considered as a disbeliever and in the afterlife he will end up as an eternal inhabitant of the Eternal Hell.
Any one who believes that the Almighty Creator has no son or partner, he has a good faith and is considered as a believer; and in the afterlife, he will end up as an eternal inhabitant of the Eternal Paradise.
Verses 5:116-119 make the topic of the son(s) of God plain, clear and understandable.

The meanings of verse 5:116
And, mention when God will say, to Jesus at the Resurrection in rebuke of his followers: ‘O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to mankind in the life of this world, “Take me and my mother as gods, besides Allah”?’
He, Jesus, says, shuddering: ‘Glory be to You!, exalted be You above all that does not befit You, such as having a partner and/or a son. It is not mine who said that, it is unjustified for me, to say what I have no right to.
You know what I have conveyed to them of commands and prohibitions.
If I indeed had said it to them, You would have known it. You know what is, hidden by me, in my self, but I do not know what is within Your Self, that is, what You keep hidden of Your knowledge.
You know what is in my self, though I do not know what is in Your Self; You are the Knower of things unseen. You are the Knower things hidden from the servants; and no one can have knowledge of it besides You.
The meanings of verse 5:117
(Jesus continues) I only said to them in the life of this world only that which You commanded me, to say, and that is: “Worship Allah, declare Allah's divine Oneness and obey Him; He is my Lord and yours.”
And I was a witness, a watcher, over them, preventing them from saying what they used to say by conveying your message whilst I dwelt among them; but when You took me, when You raised me up to the heaven, You were Yourself the Watcher over them, You were the Protector and Witness of them, the Observer of their deeds, and You Yourself are Witness over all things, Aware and knowing them, including what I said to them and what they said after me, and whatever else.
The meanings of verse 5:118
(Jesus continues) If you chastise them, that is, those among them who are fixed upon disbelief, verily they are Your slaves, and You are their Master, disposing of them as You will: there can be no objection to what You do; and if You forgive them, lo! they are Your slaves. You, only You, are the Mighty in His affair and the Wise in His actions.
The meanings of verse 5:119
This is a day in which their truthfulness profited the Truthful, and their faith the believers and their conveyance the conveyors of messages and their loyalty the loyal people; for theirs are Gardens underneath which, beneath its trees and couches, rivers of water, milk, wine and honey which flow wherein they are secure and they shall abide forever; in such Paradise they dwell, never to die or be removed from it.
Allah is well-pleased with them, because of their faith, works and obedience to Him, and they are well-pleased with Him, because of His reward and the honor bestowed upon them. That which I have mentioned of eternity and pleasure is the great triumph; the ultimate safety: they earned Paradise and were saved from the torment of hell. The sincerity of those who were liars in this world shall not avail them on that Day, just as it shall not avail the disbelievers when they (will) believe upon seeing the chastisement.

SHAKIR: and when Allah will say: o isa son of marium! did you say to men, take me and my mother for two gods besides Allah he will say: glory be to thee, it did not befit me that i should say what i had no right to (say); if i had said it, thou wouldst indeed have known it; thou knowest what is in my mind, and i do not know what is in thy mind, surely thou art the great knower of the unseen things
PICKTHAL: and when Allah saith: o Jesus, son of Mary! didst thou say unto mankind: take me and my mother for two gods beside Allah? he saith: be glorified! it was not mine to utter that to which i had no right. if i used to say it, then thou knewest it. thou knowest what is in my mind, and i know not what is in thy mind. lo! thou, only thou, art the knower of things hidden?
YUSUFALI: and behold! Allah will say: "o Jesus the son of marry! didst thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of Allah'?" he will say: "glory to thee! never could i say what i had no right (to say). had i said such a thing, thou wouldst indeed have known it. thou knowest what is in my heart, thou i know not what is in thine. for thou knowest in full all that is hidden.
Verse 5:117
QARIB: i spoke to them of nothing except that which you ordered me, that you worship Allah, my lord and our lord. i witnessed them whilst living in their midst and ever since you took me to you, you have been the watcher over them. you are the witness of everything.
SHAKIR: i did not say to them aught save what thou didst enjoin me with: that serve Allah, my lord and your lord, and i was a witness of them so long as i was among them, but when thou didst cause me to die, thou wert the watcher over them, and thou art witness of all things
PICKTHAL: i spake unto them only that which thou commandedst me, (saying): worship Allah, my lord and your lord. i was a witness of them while i dwelt among them, and when thou tookest me thou wast the watcher over them. thou art witness over all things.
YUSUFALI: "never said i to them aught except what thou didst command me to say, to wit, 'worship Allah, my lord and your lord'; and i was a witness over them whilst i dwelt amongst them; when thou didst take me up thou wast the watcher over them, and thou art a witness to all things.
Verse 5:118
QARIB: if you punish them (for their disbelief), they surely are your subjects; and if you forgive them, surely you are the almighty, the wise. '
shouldst forgive them, then surely thou art the mighty, the wise
PICKTHAL: if thou punish them, lo! they are thy slaves, and if thou forgive them (lo! they are thy slaves). lo! thou, only thou, art the mighty, the wise.
YUSUFALI: "if thou dost punish them, they are thy servant: if thou dost forgive them, thou art the exalted in power, the wise."
Verse 5:119
QARIB: Allah will say: 'this is the day the truthful shall benefit by their truthfulness. they shall live for ever in gardens underneath which rivers flow. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with him. that is the great winning. '
SHAKIR: Allah will say: this is the day when their truth shall benefit the truthful ones; they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow to abide in them for ever: Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Allah; this is the mighty achievement

Child Obesity Genetics
Obesity tends to run in families, suggesting that it may have a genetic cause. However, family members share not only genes but also diet and lifestyle habits that may contribute to obesity. Separating these lifestyle factors from genetic ones is often difficult. Still, mounting evidence points to heredity as a strong determining factor for obesity.
Obesity rates have doubled in the last twenty years, and in children the rate has tripled, according to research conducted by the American Dietetic Association. Obesity is much more than simply a cosmetic problem. Being considerably overweight causes serious health problems, and when obesity starts in childhood, unfortunately it often sets the child up for a lifetime of poor health.
Research indicates that the rates of obesity have, at best, doubled with some sections of society. But among children, the rate of obesity has tripled. People who suffer from obesity cannot just slough it off as an appearance issue. They need to educate themselves about the possible health consequences of being overweight. This is even more important in children who become obese at an early age.
Childhood obesity is caused 77% by genetic makeup and only 23% by lifestyle and environmental factors. Newspapers love these Nature vs. Nurture arguments as they can fill their pages with endless pontificating and claim it's based on fact.
The obesity is a world wide problem. It is increasing at an alarming rate among people of all ages, genders, races and countries. When the Body Mass Index (BMI) is greater than 30 kg/square meter in a person, that person is classified as obese. The officially accepted reasons of obesity are genetics, behaviour and endocrine. So far the infectious etiology has not been explored fully. The study of viral infection as a cause of obesity was done on animals and humans. The results were published in respected journals. It is quite clear that viruses can not be ruled out as a cause of fattening in humans.
Obesity may seem harmless enough, but when you investigate its health implications you realize just how bad it is. Try these examples for size:
1. Young people that have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 35 or more have double the risk of death compared with people the same age that have a normal BMI.
2. Obese people are much more likely than 'normal' weight people to suffer from high blood pressure and other cardiovascular problems, increasing the likelihood of dying prematurely due to Myocardial Infarction (heart attack) enormously - 1.5 times the normal risk for men and 3.2 times the normal risk for women.
3. Being obese has been shown to greatly increase the risk of contracting many forms of cancer, including cancer of the colon - 3.0 times the risk for men and 2.7 times the risk for women, compared with non-obese people.
4. Obesity greatly increases the risk of contracting Type 2 Diabetes - by 5.2 times for men and a massive 12.7 times for women.
You can blame your obesity on is genetics. Other members of your family may have or still do suffer form obesity. This is in no means an excuse to get big but rather it should be a good warning that you have to be extra careful in watching your weight

To Be A Champion, Become A Child
Have you ever wondered what successful people have that makes them successful? Ever wonder how those champion recruiters in your company manage, month after month, to get the most new recruits, the biggest bonuses, the largest paychecks?
Well let me tell you a secret. No one starts out as a Champion. Most of them started out like you and me. So what is it that makes a Champion different from the rest?
Champions have an attitude, a mindset that sets them apart from the rest. But most of these qualities are not exceptional.
Indeed each and every one of us possesses these qualities when we start out in life. But somewhere along the way we tend to lose them and diminish our own potential. To be a Champion, you must first become a Child! Let me explain:
1. Champions are Willing to Learn.
Children come into this world with an innate desire to learn, to understand the world around them. They are like sponges observing and absorbing every fact, every reaction. Because they know that their very survival depends on it.
One of the most important, and oft-repeated, qualities we need to succeed in business is a willingness to learn – to be teachable. To become a champion, you must be willing to educate yourself or be educated, to read about, learn and absorb all the things you need to know, even if they are completely new to you. If you don't, you are doomed to failure from the start.
2. Champions are Willing to Act
Have you notice how children completely geared towards action? As soon as they learn a new skill, they want to put it into action.
Champions are the same. They put their newly learned skills to use, taking concrete steps to improve their performance, so they can take their business to the next level. They know that they must act on what they have learned, even if they haven't perfected it. Which brings me to their next quality.
3. Champions are Not Afraid to Fail
Just as a child picks itself up again and again, every time it falls while taking its first steps, champions are not afraid to fall down or fail.
They know that failure is the best teacher. They learn from their mistakes and keep fine-tuning their methods till they succeed. Champions have the courage to fall down and not be discouraged. They pick themselves up and keep trying.
4. Champions are Willing to Adapt
Darwin got it wrong. Survival does not happen to the Fittest, but to the Most Adaptable. As children, we adapt to long-term change relatively easily. We are more willing to accept situations and adapt our behaviour accordingly. Unfortunately, as we grow older, we become more rigid in our thinking, unwilling to accept that there may be better ways of doing things.
In a changing business scenario, resistance to change makes us obsolete. We end up losing out to players with a better understanding of changing trends. Champions are those who can adapt themselves and their business to changing trends.
5. Champions are Willing to Innovate
Children are extremely inventive beings. They come into this world with no preconceived notions of doing things. In their minds there are no limits to what they can do or how they can do it.
Champions apply these very principles to take their business to the top. They not only learn from what has been done before. They find ways of doing it more efficiently, more cheaply, more successfully.
You don't have to be like a child in all respects to succeed. It's probably not even desirable. But if your pre-conceived notions, fears and hesitation are preventing you from reaching your goals, try looking at the world through a child's eyes. At best you will improve your chances of success, at worst you'll remain young at heart.

“My child hates me !” : What it means and what to do !
First reaction.
"My child hates me" ! That hurts when a kid says "I hate you" to his mum or dad. It's devastating because the word "hate" sounds terrible to us. But there is actually no reason you should feel hurt.
As in every things our kids are doing and saying, what's most important isn't our immediate reaction but our understanding of their behavior and words in order for us to react appropriately ! They're not adults and therefore don't express their feelings the same way as we do. Be aware of that.
"My child hates me, he SAID so !". Yes he said it and I'm sure he sounded honest too ! But there's another way of looking at it.
Why ?
First of all, saying "my child hates me" is not realistic because your child cannot hate you. The feeling of hate belongs to grown-ups. It requires a sense of good and bad, real reasons, it's a psychological state children can't experience. So when your kid says "I hate you", he is actually very angry and anger is a strong feeling for a child. It happens when your kid feels powerless because he does not have control over things and sees you're the one who's imposing the rules !
Children are always trying things, they don't know their limits and they don't know ours. That's why they are so extreme in their reaction and words : "You're not my mother anymore !". But that's also what we're here for, right ? Teach them how to understand their feelings and express them. Don't forget there isn't much subtelty in how they apprehend the world. They like something or they don't. They're happy or they're sad. Then little by little they learn how to recognize a wide range of feelings.
A short word about teenagers to tell you that their use of the word "hate" isn't that different from a child. They don't choose to experiment all these changes in their bodies and minds and they need to express extreme feelings to know themselves better. It's not easy for them and we're here to give them a loving help.
How to react ?
Explaining things to children is very important. Staying calm too. It's not always easy but you should never forget that kids actually pay attention to our reactions. They need to know what makes us angry, what they're allowed to do. Yes, they are testing us.
What is important if your child says "I hate you" is to temper your own emotions because the question here isn't "My child hates me, how can I stay calm ??", the question is how to make him understand that you don't accept that kind of language and that there are other ways to express his feelings. Help your child recognize what he feels by pointing it out.
Tell your child that it is indeed normal to have feelings such as anger but that he can express it differently. Give him an example, he won't find it by himself : "Instead you can say that you're mad at me because I said no". You can also walk away by saying calmly and firmly that you're not gonna listen to him talking like that. Your child will understand that saying hurtful things is not acceptable. Find what caused the anger and outburst. Children need to know why you say no to understand what's behind their anger. Yes you're the parent and yes you're imposing the rules. The reason is because you know what is good or not for your child, that's why your rules are made out of love. Let him know that. There is a good reason behind each rule and it's very important to explain that to children. Don't hesitate to punish such behavior by asking your child to stay in his room during a certain amount of time. Stay firm. If you don't follow your own rule by accepting that he goes out of his room earlier, you're never gonna be taken seriously. Being calm, firm and consistent is the best way for your child to understand things and change his behavior. Never forget to say "I love you" after sending your child to his room. Children worry fast and doubt our love for them easily that's why it's even more important to reassure your child to make him understand punishments better.
So next time your child says hurtful things to you, don't tell yourself "My child hates me !" but rather "My child needs me !" and react appropriately.
What if my child's bad behavior is more serious ?
I actually wrote a hub called : "Bad Children Behavior : Solutions reviews !" that might interest you if the situation is more difficult with your child. You'll find 4 reviews of parenting guides for kids from 2 to 19 being diagnosized with a specific disorder (ODD, ADHD...) or not. Hope it can help !

When the News is Very Bad, Here’s How to Break it to Your Child
It's a rare family that doesn't encounter very bad news at some point or another. Grandparents pass away. Economic difficulties occur. Someone gets seriously injured, loses a job and so on.
We teach our children to be honest and tell the truth, but breaking bad news to children, especially very young children, can be a tricky balancing act. That's because you may want to withhold some of the full truth, while also balancing any bad news with hope for a positive outcome.
For example, let's say that grandfather has suffered a stroke that has put him in the hospital. Depending upon the severity of the stroke and the prognosis, you'll be as forthright with your children as possible, answering their many questions.
For example: "We truly don't know if grandpa will be the same," you might say. "But I believe in my heart that he will recover. And we will still love him the same, no matter what happens."
Notice the "balancing act" I mentioned before: being truthful, to a point, without giving too much information that would cause more emotional distress to children than is necessary - balanced with an optimistic, positive, loving approach.
As part of that approach, remember that you, the parent, have to be the "rock" for your family. While you may choose to share with your children your own feelings, openly displaying your own fears and uncertainties will probably not be helpful. To help facilitate the more positive approach, try to maintain your family's routine and schedule as much as possible to provide certainty and stability.
You'll also want to monitor how your children are doing and coping throughout any extended difficulty. And, should you feel it appropriate at any point, give your kids the opportunity to talk to professionals (clergy, psychiatrist, counselors, etc.) who are well-versed in dealing with your particular situation and the emotions associated with it.
Lastly, remember that one of the biggest fears children often experience during a difficult time is the fear of the future, which is a fear of the unknown. To help alleviate this fear, try discussing and even visualizing with your children what the future may hold, along with how your family will stay strong, supportive and loving, regardless of the outcome. And, in the meantime, try to live in the future and continue with life and your normal activities.

Teen Campaign Against Vices ? an Initiative of the Parent and Child
A teen wants to have a sense of belonging, a sense of self worth, a sense of pride. When this does not happen, a teenager turns to various vices like drugs, smoking, alcohol, etc. Teenagers usually start with a single cigarette or a can of beer, due to peer pressure, to prove himself or to give the impression of being “cool”. This however turns into a habit and soon the teen is addicted. We have to launch a teen campaign against vices to help them and stop them.
Teenagers usually prefer to listen to their peers than to adults. They are in that phase of life where they are gaining independence and rebelling against adults. They therefore go to their friends and people in their age group, rather than to adults for advice and companionship. Therefore, when teen campaign against vices are organized and implemented by teenagers, the impact is much better.
Many teenagers have watched loved ones die from lung cancer. They have lived through the sufferings of their loved ones. Such teenagers are very strong campaigners against tobacco companies. Teenagers can be very effective campaigners as they are filled with vigor and enthusiasm. Teenagers, as part of their teen campaign against vices, can serve on community groups which seek tougher regulations against tobacco manufacturers.
They can discuss more stringent norms with the legislators. They can conduct surveys to find out why teenagers smoke. Most teenagers want to act like adults. They feel grown up with a cigarette in their mouth. Still others do it as a sign of rebellion. The campaigners can channel this rebellion into positive action by roping such children into assisting with the campaign and rebelling against tobacco companies. teen campaign against vices should focus on the fact that kids too have the power and ability to fight against tobacco companies.
Teenagers with low self esteem and those who find it hard to cope with the harsh realities of the world take to drugs. It is an escape route for them. Teenagers campaigning against drugs can highlight the horrifying after effects – depression, panic attacks, irregular heartbeat, respiratory disorders and even death.
Teenagers could have drug related discussions, seminars and conferences with their peers and point out the ill effects. The advantages of a healthy life could be highlighted and drug addicts could be encouraged to take up a sport to keep them healthy, channel their energies, become more disciplined and increase self confidence levels. Campaigners could also use pamphlets, catchy slogans, and stickers etc to spread their message.
Another vice rampant among teenagers is teen sex. Teen campaign against vices like teen sex should emphasize the horrors caused by AIDS and HIV which are ruining the lives of many teenagers. Delaying the first intercourse, promoting sexual abstinence among teenagers, avoiding early parenthood, responsible sexual behavior, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases etc could be topics covered in the teen campaign against vices. Teenagers must be taught to control their wants and be responsible people. Campaigners could use the media to promote their teen campaign against vices.
Underage drinking causes six times more deaths than all the other illicit drugs. Teens fall prey to alcohol as it is easily available. Many studies show that adults whom teenagers know, like parents, friends’ parents, relatives etc provide them with alcohol. The campaign against alcohol should stress on the fact the underage drinking is illegal, irresponsible and unsafe. Campaigners could use lapel pins, public service announcements, print and audio visual advertisements to promote their teen campaign against vices.

Click Training Video: Even a Child Can Train Your Dog
As odd as it may sound, the click training video in the field of dog training is not exactly for the dog; it's for the dog trainer. Obviously, the dog won't pop the video into the player and take down notes. This instructional material is for the trainers. And it is not limited to dog trainers too; pet trainers, exotic animal trainers and wild animal trainers can also benefit from watching a click training video.
Click training is said to be the gentlest for of obedience training. It works primarily on the concept of operant conditioning -- somewhat akin to the original work done by the Russian psychologist Ivan Pavlov at the turn of the 1900. In a nutshell, operant conditioning is when a stimulus is gradually introduced to an animal; later on that animal associates it with something either good or bad, and will perform accordingly.
The same principle can clearly be seen in each and every click training video. We will site dog training as an example. A command is usually given verbally to the dog. When the dog makes a small gesture that is almost the same as what the trainer wants it to do, it is given a treat (usually, a small piece of chopped food) plus a click from the clicker. As the training progresses, the dog soon associates one specific action on his part to receiving one treat and one click. Soon the dog associates the sound of the click as something positive and will perform one action accordingly.
Click training may sound like an easy way of training animals. That is true to some extent. Some pet owners can practice this form of training while walking their dogs or watching TV or simply spending time grooming their pets. In some reports, a dog can learn new behavior in less than 15 minutes of training.
However, training is a process. And sometimes, it takes more than just clicking and giving a dog a treat to make it learn a new behavior. That is the reason why many people opt to watch at least one click training video before subjecting themselves or their pets to training. An ill-advised training is almost as bad as cruelty as a form of discipline. It will make learning quite painful to your pet, and it may lose further interest or enthusiasm in any future project you may want to try.
Of course, there are a lot of these said videos on the World Wide Web. It takes very little research to find one click training video that will be suitable for you and your pet. You should definitely find one that can cater to your specific trainee: a dog click training video for your dog for example.
There are even videos made for a more specific type of animal; for deaf dogs for example, there is light flash training where the clicker is substituted with a more favorable mechanical light source. There are also instructional videos regarding click training geared to help ease aggression from fearful animals (especially those that came from shelters or rescued from cruel conditions.) The principle of training, however, remains the same for all these various types of instructional videos.
Aside from videos geared specifically for the trainee, there are also those geared for a specific group of trainers. An example of which is a click training video for children under the age of 15 who wish to practice dog training with their pets.
Katia Lorenzen learned about click training when her dog was a puppy. And now she is pleased to tell you about the ultimate source of clickertraining information: http://www.ClickerTrainingMagic.com.
Does Your Child Have a Bad Case of Senioritis ?
This is the time of year that some kids really begin to slack off. You know, they feel like because the applications are done, the colleges won't care how their grades are or what classes they are taking.
This is wrong, wrong, WRONG!
First off, let me make you feel better. It's not just your kid, it's EVERYBODY'S kid. Ok, well almost everybody's kid...
Anyway, it's so bad that Charles Reed, the chancellor for the Cal State system called 12th grade 'the biggest wasteland in America'. And right now, even as I write this, 9 state governors are seeking to completely overhaul the senior year, saying that it's currently a "waste of the student's time and taxpayer's money".
Crazy, huh?
So, don't beat your kids too bad if they've got it.
BUT, and this is the big but, that does NOT give them an excuse to totally slack off and just basically coast until summer.
Here's why: (seniors, are you paying attention?)
First off, the slacking is SO bad that 1/2 of the colleges nationwide have to offer remediation (think: remedial). And I'm not talking about community colleges at all. I'm talking 4 year schools ONLY. Half of them!
What that means in plain English is that if you slack off and don't pay attention this year, no problem, you'll just have to re-take those classes once you get to college. Which means, it's longer until you graduate. Which, of course, costs your parents more money and delays you getting out into the real world and making serious money of your own.
Oh yeah, and that's IF you get in in the first place.
Here's what I mean:
If you are applying to any sort of competitive school, meaning pretty much anything other than a community college, they WILL be looking at what classes you are taking your senior year.
And they WILL notice if you went from challenging yourself by taking, say, 6 academic classes your junior year, and now you're only taking 4 classes and they are all electives. And that WILL affect their decision.
Right here, this can be the difference between getting into your 1st choice...and your last.
...Or not getting in at all.
Now, on the same subject, once and for all, YES! YOUR SENIOR YEAR GRADES DO COUNT.
A LOT!
Got it?
Here's what happens: If you are borderline for getting in to a college, they will call your high school to request the latest copy of your grades. Which, by the way, you gave them the right to do when you filled out your application. And if they notice that you are slipping, they probably will not admit you.
Or, they can withdraw your admission even after they've offered it.
I know, it's not 'fair', but I've warned you.
Story: We had a student last year who was offered admittance to SDSU….on one condition: she had to get a 'C' or better in chemistry her senior year.
Yep, you got it: she got a 'D +'.
So, her admission was revoked, and NOTHING we could do would get them to reinstate her. Not offering to retake the class over summer, not getting the teacher to re-do her grade.
Nothing.
Because, basically, they said that she had shown them that she didn't have the discipline to succeed in college. Goodbye SDSU, hello Cal State San Bernardino.
She already had her room and everything. She had even started hanging out with her future roommate.
Do NOT let this happen to you.
Now, I know you're burnt out and everything, but here's what you can do to finish strong:
1. Realize that senior does count...both the classes you take AND the grades you get in them. So, like I said above, finish strong. You're almost there, don't let up know.
2. Evaluate your schedule. Don't get so busy with work or friends or your boyfriend/girlfriend or whatever that you're using up all the time you used to spend studying. Stay focused on your academics.
3. All right, this is going to sound lame, but challenge yourself. Yeah, yeah, I know. You've been hearing this forever. Here's what I mean: Look for ways to push yourself. Form a study group if you have to, or try to find something for extra credit that's interesting (key word: interesting).
4. Get your dang internship already. I've beat this one to death, but it's vitally important which is why I keep sounding like a broken record on this. Remember, it will help you both in determining whether you're even going to school for the right thing or not, AND it will get your foot in the door for the future.
5. Lastly, you're so 'done' with high school? Cool. Go take a class or two at a community college. Make sure it's academic, but this will give you a chance to get your feet wet and see what college is like, as well as being able to walk the halls with adults, and not a bunch of 14 year old freshman.
I don't know if these will help you or not. Like I said, probably the MOST important thing is to realize that 'almost done' and 'done' are NOT the same thing.
In fact, that's a pretty good quote. You should probably write that one down.
Hang in there. You'll be in college soon enough.

Understanding the Emotional Development of a Child
Understanding the emotions of your child is extremely important as you are one of the most important people in his life.
When he is about three years old, these emotions begin to really come into focus and he becomes aware of feelings of sadness, joy, love, fear, disappointment, anger, happiness, caring and hatred.
Babies have emotions as well but they are mainly elementary emotions such as pleasure, fear, pain, discomfort and basically anything else that relates to his physical wellbeing.
From the ages of three to six, there is a rapid development of the child’s emotions and he is confronted with emotions in new ways. These new emotions may be quite intense and frightening for a child. As a parent, you need to help him to understand and cope with these emotions.
During this period, his anger may turn into tantrums, and his enthusiasm may show in inappropriate behaviour, bad dreams become nightmares, relatively small concerns become terrifying fears, and disappointment seems like the end of the world to him. He becomes vulnerable and can be easily hurt emotionally.
As the child progresses into his early years at school, his emotional world becomes much larger with friends, teachers, and even activities taking up a larger part of his life. His total dependency on his parents decreases.
At this stage, the child learns of new emotional experiences such as success and failure, competitiveness, approval and disapproval, and acceptance and rejection by his peers and others.
This can sometimes be exhilarating as he becomes involved in sport and other activities. It can also be harsh as the reality of ability and inability comes to the forefront of his world. After all, children can be cruel and hurtful to their peers if they perceive them to be inferior in their abilities in any way.
By the time the child reaches adolescence, his emotional experiences become more complex as friends become the core of his emotional life. This creates a pull away from the home and the family unit and can be quite confusing for the young person. Add to this the emotionally laden issues of sexuality and it can be very delightful as well as frightening for him.
At this point, the adolescent has become a physical and emotional being. For the most part, his world is reasonably well formed and he has an understanding of his emotions and coping strategies.
If, for any reason, the adolescent shows signs of being unable to cope with his emotions, it is important to seek professional help for him. Failure to do so may be a recipe for disaster. Some young people who have difficulty in coping may turn to drugs and alcohol as a coping strategy.

Florida Personal Injury Accidents – Child Injury – Expert Advice
The following is an expert answer given by Florida Personal Injury Accidents Lawyer, Joseph M. Maus, and taken from AllExperts.com, a free Q & A service on the internet:
Subject: Son injured himself in school
Question: My son got injured last week at school. We live in Satellite Beach Fl, and my son goes to school at a magnet school in Cocoa which is at least 30mins away from us. He was in his science class when a girl who had her foot on his stool pulled her foot out and took the stool with her as my son was going to sit on the stool. He fell and hit his head on a table behind him and broke his scalp open. Thankfully, he did not have any major trauma to his skull. The school and the school board have been so unhelpful and quick to absolve themselves from any liability. First while my son was waiting for me to pick him up a roach appeared in the clinic and the nurse ran out of the clinic leaving my son behind alone. Then the principal called my husband and told him that they had "investigated" what happened and said that it was an accident and that no one had pulled the chair out from underneath my son. Now I had to pay out of pocket for my son to be taken care of (I do not have insurance) and when I called for an incident report last Friday, they said they needed to find it and they would call me back. When they did call, I was not available to speak with them so I called them later in the day and they told me that they could not release the accident report because my son did not fill it out. He was not aware that he needed to fill out a report. They also never made us aware of it needing to be done. Now the person that has the authority to release it is not going to be in the office until next week and I am livid that I cannot get that report. What are my options? Thank you.
Answer: Don't expect to find anything worthwhile in the report. If the School turns it over to you, it will most likely contain very generic information and will definitely not assign any fault to the school. At best, it may contain the names of witnesses to the incident that you could speak to in order to find out exactly what happened. Your options are to investigate the incident more fully to find out what exactly happened, and determine whether the school is responsible for the incident.
Keep in mind, in cases of Florida personal injury accidents, a school is responsible for dangerous conditions which they know about, or should know about, and their failure to protect the children at the school from the dangers. This could be actual dangerous conditions at the school such as a door that slams too quickly, or an uneven, cracked sidewalk, or it could be a student that continually pulls "pranks" on other students, or a student that bullies other students. A stool that is pulled out by another student, without any further information or facts, is probably not a dangerous condition that the school would be responsible for. However, if it is a stool that other people have been injured on, or maybe this other student has a history of doing this to classmates, then maybe there is liability against the school for failing to fix the stool, or failing to discipline or remove the student from the classroom.
Most schools have insurance for the type of incident you have described. Their insurance usually includes "medical payments coverage", or Medpay. Medpay is a type of insurance coverage that pays for medical bills which arise out of an injury that occurs at the school. Since you have incurred out of pocket medical bills, you should speak to the school to find out whether they have medpay coverage. If so, you need to submit the bills to the school's insurance company and you will be reimbursed.
If your son does have a claim, you would not sue right away. Most Florida personal injury accidents claims get resolved without having to file a lawsuit. Once your son finishes his medical treatment, your accident lawyer would get the medical records together, photos of the injury, and copies of his medical bills, then submit them to the school, or its insurance company in an effort to settle the claim. If the school doesn't settle the claim, then you would have the option of filing a lawsuit.
It sounds like your son's injury may have healed without any permanent effects. If it has not, you should consider speaking with a Florida personal injury accidents lawyer as soon as possible. There are many steps your attorney should take now, i.e. notify the insurance company for the school, and find out what types of coverage are available. There are also statutes of limitations which may apply and preclude you from bringing a claim if you wait too long, particularly if it is a public school. There are special rules for Florida accident and injury claims which apply to governmental entities such as public schools, including when you have to notify them. If it is a public school in Florida, there are also other governmental agencies you are required to put on notice of your son's claim, so it is best to speak with a Florida personal injury accidents lawyer as soon as possible.
Most attorneys specializing in premises liability claims handle the claims on a contingent basis,i.e. the attorneys fee is a percentage of any money they recover for you, and offer a free, no-obligation consultation to discuss whether you have a viable case. So it won't cost you anything to at least speak to an attorney in your area.
