The court documents may be sealed but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other records of the case. Sealing the court record does not eliminate other records of the crime. If the courts are providing the information I’d go talk to the Clerk of court in the jurisdiction that the case was tried.
I was once arrested for Driving While Impaired. The record was supposed to have been expunged (wiped clean) yet it still popped up from time to time until I contacted the court, DMV and local police departments.

why is a sealed criminal record appearing in an online background check?
I am helping my fiance find a better job.. A few years ago, he was involved in a drunken bar fight, which ended up in his being arrested.. About a year ago, we had the record sealed.. However as we started this new job search, I decided that it might not be a bad idea to check his background, the way an employer might, and make sure this record did not appear.. Well, guess what… It did! We tried an online service, Net Detective, and it was there…Does anyone know why a sealed record would still be appearing on this background check? I’m assuming that if it’s here, it would be on any background check.

The best way to be sure you’re getting an accurate and complete background check is to go directly to your states bureau of investigation. In my state you can get the info from their website and there is a 25 dollar charge. This is the same info that is sent to NCIS(the dept of the FBI that keeps records of criminal convictions.) Everything that was commit ed in your state should be listed in with your states bureau of investigation. Some crimes commit ed in other states may not be forwarded to NCIS. All states have different policies as to what they consider serious enough to report to NCIS. In short, the only way to be sure you’re getting everything including misdemeanors would be to check every state the applicants have resided in. Even law enforcement background checks are often incomplete if a misdemeanor is commited in another state.

Does anyone know of online background check sites that are accurate?
I am starting a small cleaning business and I need to know of a online site that does accurate background checks that are affordable. I looked at a bunch of sites and they all will tell you that they are accurate, but then I read that a lot are misleading.

Kentucky online background check for state police?
I’m trying to fill out a background check with the KY state police. It’s done online and there is a specific website but I left the paperwork at home and don’t remember the address, does anyone know what the address is?

Sorry, no free websites to do criminal background checks. You will see a lot that say free, but when you start entering all the information and then hit continue to proceed, that is when they want to charge you.
It looks through all the free listings at the likes of Google and Whitepages to bring back such free information as their phone number and name.
If it can’t find any free information, it shows you the best resource to use otherwise.

What is the best online background check company for reverse cell phone lookup and criminal background check?
I just joined Reverse Phone Detective, but that membership only gives you reverse phone lookup and you have to pay more for a background check. I need something that I can look up the number and also the criminal background on the same site all included in the membership price instead of paying extra for background checks.
