It can take a week or two depending on who the company is using to run the report. It also depends on how quickly the hiring company processes their end of the paperwork. If they are in a hurry to get you working then I would assume it would take closer to a week.

How do I get a NATIONAL background check?
I was told simply to go to my local police station. However both gave me forms for STATE checks and didn’t know how to go about getting a national one.

Will a felony that someone got at the age of 13 show up on a texas national background check when he is 18.?
Recieved felony in texas at the age of13. Will it show up in an EMT national texas Background check. now at age 18
it was charged as a juvenile. I know it shows up on FBI check wondering if it will on national texas background check.

It depends on the charge and how it was prosecuted. Most offenses charged as a minor will be sealed, but any charged as an adult may be visible.

Every employer has their own policy. Some may not even do a criminal history check. A simple assault isn’t likely to deny you employment unless the restaurant is in a halfway house for battered spouses. Were you actually convicted? Most records don’t reflect suspect/arrest-only incidents. It is likely a national check. Each jurisdiction has to voluntarily provide the information so it may be available on a local or county level only. Too many variables…. Try doing some research on “How to complete a job application” or “How to interview for a job”. It may not be your assault skeleton after all; it could be your tatts and your piercings……

In Utah, is there a national (NCIC) background check done before sale on handguns?
I know they have an in state system check they run, but is there a national check done?

Do restaurants usually do a national criminal background check or just state?
The reason I am asking because I am applying for a job and they want to know if I have a record. I do have a simple assault charge from 3 years ago. I have been honest about my background and no one has hired me and I am not a lying person but i need a job BAD! So I still have my PA id do you think if i get my GA id will they even bother to look for my record in PA?
