Do you support a background check before one can purchase a firearm?
And if you do, which one do you prefer? The instant background check or a traditional waiting period, in some cases this can be 2 weeks.
Please, in a calm and rational manner, explain you preference and why you feel that way.
Thank you in advance for you help.

What background check websites do employers of big companies use to check potential applicants?
Overall, what are some common sites that offer background checks which employers use to check a persons history (criminal, credit, past employment, etc)

An education verification typically will verify the highest level of degree obtained. If you did not actually graduate, then it will be reported as such. Many colleges and universities have chosen to outsource their verifications to a third party, so the background screening company usually does not even talk to the school to find any additional information. I would suggest clearing this up. As a follow up, there are fewer companies that verify education backgrounds then criminal backgrounds.
The first is a more high-end company that may cost a little more and the second is a very flexible offering that allows complete customization of what is included in the background check report at the lowest price around. Both are used by employers to screen potential employers.
If you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them via email (admin@CompleteReviews.net).
Good luck!

How does an education background check work?
I am up for a position and they are in the process of running different background checks on me. The one that concerns me is the education background check.
I am exactly one class shy of earning the BS degree that I claimed on my CV. I walked during graduation and everything, but I never got the *incomplete* for that class cleared up and, hence, never completely fulfilled my graduation requirements.
In an education background check, do companies verify that you have the degree or just that you attended the university during the dates you claimed?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

How do I get a criminal background check notarized?
I need to get a residence permit to live abroad and one requirement is to get a criminal background check.
I know one way is directly apply to the FBI, but that’ll take weeks to months. I heard I could get a criminal background check from online and get it notarized. Is this true? If so, where can I get criminal background check and can it be notarized by any public notary officer or, does it have to be notarized by an embassy?
Thanks.

It looks like BoA needs to find a new background checking company!
This shouldn’t be a big deal. BoA’s HR Department can call your former employer to confirm that you worked there. That’s standard procedure at most companies even if they don’t do a background check. I’m surprised that they haven’t already done it. That will prove that you really worked there regardless of what the background check found.

I have researched and tested background check companies for a consumer reivew site (http://www.CompleteReviews.net ) and, as a result have had the opportunity to work with most of the sites out there. Most of the licensed employee screening sites offer similar reports as these type of background checks are governed by the FCRA. I can provide you with links to two of the best so you can see what they are like. The first is http://www.CompleteReviews.net/recommends/talentwise.htm and the other is http://www.CompleteReviews.net/recommends/efindoutthetruth.html
