Criminal Conversation NC
I just found out recently that my STBX has been dating someone that is 21 years of age and is almost half her age and who my child is almost half his age. They have been dating soon after we separated and the children were introduced to him right after the separation. Of course, we all know that introducing a new love is in appropriate right after a separation to children and that is not responsible thing to do because you need to give time for them to heal. I have concerns of this person because, not only his age, my children does not like him. Also, his maturity level as a responsible adult is probably not there because he probably is like my STBX as in partying, drinking, going out all the time, etc.
Anyway, I want to seek a Criminal Conversation charge against this person and have an attorney to help me out on the case. If anyone has ever filed a Criminal Conversation charge, I like to know if it is worth it or if it is a waste of money.
Also, I have majority of custody of my children and they do not like this guy over at her place when they go over there, but of course, I cannot do anything about it right at this minute because of the custody agreement we have.

Are there any programs or services nationwide for legal help for low income families?
I live in Charlotte, NC and my boyfriend was charged with first degree murder. Lawyers charge no more that $150,000 for this kind of case in NC. We are low income families, we will never have this kind of money. NC has legal aid but not for criminal charges. We DO NOT want to settle for a public defender who may be over worked and not be able to devote their full time to the case. Any help you guys can give would be great!!!

Ten years. However, at the end of the ten years, the State can renew it for another ten. (And another, and another……)

NC State Tax statue of limitations …?
I have a civil state tax lien (NC) that stemmed from a criminal charge 7 years ago. The lawyer who handled my case said he would handle the lien as well, but I don’t think he did. Is there a statue of limitation in NC that the state has to collect this debt? If so, what is it and what do I need to do? Please help!

What legal charges would I face?
I am tired of jehovas witnesses coming to my door. If I hide in the bushes and shoot them with a paintball gun, could I face criminal charges? If so, what? I live in NC…

A public defender is required to give his client the best representation possible and they do their best. These public defender’s are volunteer’s. If they feel that they can NOT do a proper job representing a client they will inform the judge and decline (there is a legal term here that I can NOT think of) the case.
Your bf doesn’t seem to be in a position to be real picky right now. At least take the Public defender until you can afford to pay a different attorney. But try to remember this: Just becasue you pay a different attorney does NOT mean you will receive better service.
Good Luck.

Punishment for a citation in Greensboro NC… well NC in general?
Let me start off by kindly asking everyone to submit only helpful comments that will give me a better understanding of this situation… no negative opinions about what you think a person with any sort of criminal charge. I was in greensboro NC maybe a few weeks ago to visit a friend of mine i went to high school with. i ended up erinating in his front yard and recieving a public urinating citation. my question is about the punishment i will receive ( a fine, community service, etc.)
