Are the counter height kitchen tables really a good idea?
I need a new kitchen table with more room, do these counter height ones really have enough room to fit 8 or is it better to go with the bigger rectangle. for the most, I just want 6 chairs so either is fine. I just like the counter ones, but are they practical. I do have three small kids too!!

if you have 3 small kids, no way. you’ll have to help each one of them get up and down from the chair. In my opinion, that would be a pain in the butt. AND it’s easier to find regular chairs than those higher chairs.
have you tried Ikea? They have a lot of glass tables.

What color for kitchen cabinets?
I am trying to give my old kitchen a little life until I can buy new cabinets. I have light ivory/beige appliances and counter top is the same color with little darker tan/brown lines throughout. I am painting the walls a sage/gray color. My floor is laminate oak with similar counter height table. There is alot of light in the room as a skylight in the room.
Really need some help with color. I was considering a brown, but the color I selected is called carob from the benjamin moore affinity colors and it has to much red in it. Should I stick with a brown for the cabinets? Looking for something clean but don’t want to have the appliances, countertop and cabinets to all blend together. Or maybe…blending would be a better option.
Really need to help with this…I can’t visualize the out come.

Try HGTV.com and see if they have an area where you can re-do your kitchen “virtually.” I think they do. The sage/grey is very “in” right now. Probably oak cabinets – maybe a black or brown granite or laminate with veins of color running through it for the counter tops. You can also get a light oak with dark in the insets and around the edges. Aged brass or copper hardware. If by “blending” you mean what I would call “complimenting” go for it. Matchy-Matchy is OUT!
I think Home Depot has a similar site. Make sure your door handles, lamp, etc. match in color and style.

Kitchen table help..
Does any one know where there is a glass kitchen table preferably 36″ x 36″ . Taller- about counter height, maybe?

Where can I find a small expandable counter height table?
I have a corner in my kitchen where I want a small counter height table in a dark wood (like cherry) to use as a desk, but also be able to expand it when we have company. I can’t find one anywhere. It should measure NO MORE than 42″w X 28″d X 35″h

we have a pub style high table and chairs as our set and my 20 month old gets up into his booster seat with no problem. I didn’t teach him this, he just climbed up all on his own, the chair legs have a ” railing” and makes it easy to climb. They are also very heavy, so he doesn’t tip it over.

young kids and counter height tables?
I really like those modern tables that are higher and have the high chairs with them. I obviously would only want ones that have heavy sturdy chairs so they dont tip over though. but do any of you have this type of table and do your young children adjust well? Or do they keep falling off the chairs and you have to get a shorter kitchen table and chairs? NO TROLL COMMENTS NO RUDE COMMENTS
