Compensation Claims For Slip, Trip and Fall Accidents

By Nicholas Tate

Individuals who have sustained injuries due to an unexpected fall caused by the negligence of a third party can claim for personal injury compensation. In fact, you will be able to find a number of lawful provisions stating that anyone can file a claim for injuries obtained either from a trip, a slip, or a fall. Reliable solicitors can guide you through the necessary procedures if you are unsure as to the processes involved in a slip, trip or fall compensation claim.

Most solicitors are able to accommodate accidents from trips and slips which take place in a variety of settings, such as roads, public pavements, footpaths, the workplace, and commercial areas. In most instances, accidents and injuries take place because deficient roads and pathways are not addressed by the concerned parties. This includes slippery ground surfaces, imperfectly constructed pavements, and other accident-prone areas. If a victim suffers physical injuries due to these, a trip or fall compensation claim can cover the expenses and discomfort experienced due to the accident.

Injuries from falling or tripping can take place within commercial areas, public roads, pavements, and office areas. It is mandated by law that these people-prone areas be made safe for passers-by and the public.

- Commercial areas- it is mandated by law that commercial areas should be kept safe for the workers, employers, as well as the clients of the business. Once the owners of the commercial premises commit lapses in this, they need to offer the needed compensation.

- Road paths, walkways, and pavements - these pathways or walkways need to complete the needed repairs, and if left uncompleted, these should be done in a way that doesn't place the public at risk for accidents.

- Work areas- employees need to be provided with safe work areas by the employers.

It is not uncommon to encounter accidents and mishaps on the road and the pavements. It is essential for anyone filing a complaint to gather concrete evidences of the accident, such as photographs. This evidence will help you strengthen your case, and allows you a more expedient processing of the claims.

You can find a number of reliable solicitors who are capable of processing your claims for injuries related to trips, slips, or fall. If you are doubtful as to the extent of the claim or who will be held responsible, the solicitor can readily assist you. Since these solicitors are experienced enough in such cases, you are almost always guaranteed the best services in claims compensation.

I have suffered permanent hearing loss in 1 ear due to NHS negligence, can I claim compensation & how much?
I reported three months earlier that I had problems to my GP, who sent info to the Hospital.

I continued to suffer during this time i.e. bleeding and went back to the GP again, who then sent a second letter.

6 weeks later I received a letter with an appointment to see a specialist in a further 2 weeks.

Thus after 2 months I had an appointment and I was informed that I would suffer from permanent hear loss, because the problem which was easily fixable and became severe within those 2 months of waiting, resulting in a collapsed ear drum.

Now I have to wait to be afforded a slot for surgery, when I don’t know!

Can I seek compensation for this? if so, from who? and how much would legal costs be? and how much could I get?

How do I find out the rating of my knee after surgery, to claim as much compensation as possible?
I have had two operations, one with hamstring ligament, that one failied and the other with my patella ligament. My range of movement has changed very little, but the obvious strength in my knee differs from one that has not been operated on. Please, any advice would be great.

You will not get a lot a few hundred £ at most. Lets face it you have been off work and receiving pay and will be able to continue work soon so thats not too bad.

Concussion Claim How much minimal should i expect?
Recently i slipped and fell on private property, i banged my head hard, this was 2 weeks ago, i now have diagnosed concussion.
I cannot work as i am getting dizzy spells, and headaches, and feel very weak.
I had a CT scan, it was normal but the dr said it could be some time before i feel well enough to return to work.
The property management have already accepted liablity as they should have salted the snow and have offered to pay my wages and any other medical costs.
Also they said they would settle a compensation claim for the concussion.
Currently they are seeking my medical history, i have spoken also to a lawyer who says i do have a case.
Property management have said i can settle now or wait until i feel better, i said i will wait.
Does anybody know roughly how much compensation one should expect? At this point i don’t want to sign for anything even with lawyer.
Maybe somebody reading this knows of somebody who was compensated for mild concussion? If so can you tell me?
Private property is a rented apartment building where i live by the way.

Personal Accident Compensation Claim – How Much?
I was injured by another driver in a head on collision that by his own admission, was his fault ( Elderly gentleman that forgot which side of the road we drive on on in the UK, just as i came round the bend on a country road at 50mph !). Apart from the usual minor cuts & bruises i suffered a fractured & dislocated ankle & a fractured sturnem. I have a Solicitors company looking into a personal injury compensation claim. Does anyone with experience of personal injury claims have any idea of what sort of figure i should expect? I don’t want to accept an offer that is too low for my injuries !

You have to go to a doctor who actually does impairment rating evaluations. Only certain ones are qualified to do this. They will have to do a series of exercises and will make precise measurements of your range of motion and strength. Then they send their test results to the Worker’s Compensation providers who in turn decide on what they’re going to award you. There is no guarantee of how much they will give you, though.

you should figure out what money you are losing due to their mistake and ask for that amount. seeking more is greedy and just adding to the negative lawsuits to get free cash culture that has been flourishing recently.
