I was checking out my hourly HARO queries and something caught my eye: April Bieber from E! Online… No idea why it necessarily caught my attention, but I googled it. Turns out April Bieber isn't an actual person, but a trending topic on Twitter (#ripaprilbieber).

Who is April Bieber? She is actually April Phann, a 15 year old that was hit by a school bus on Monday morning and killed. She was a huge Justin Bieber fan, or a Belieber, as they call themselves. April, or bieberdollbabe as she is known to the Twitter community, was to turn 16 tomorrow, April 1st, and her birthday wish was to meet Justin Bieber himself at his concert in Cincinnati this summer. Other Beliebers have created an online petition asking for Justin to write or dedicate a song to April.
This story hits really close to home for me. Monday morning I had a bit of a heart attack. I am sitting in traffic on my way to work and I get a news alert on my phone: "15 Year Old Girl Struck and Killed by Bus in Liberty Township." My little sister is 15 and my parents live in Liberty Township. Even though I had personally dropped my sister off at school that day, I still had to verify that it wasn't her before I could calm down. As it turns out, it was April Phann who lost her life. I can't imagine what her parents and family members are going through.
It's nothing new to see people mourning the death of loved ones and celebrities on Twitter. We've even blogged about this before. What I find extraordinarily interesting about this story (all personal connections aside) is how quickly it blew up and the implications it has for the 16 year old pop star. bieberdollbabe herself has acknowledged Justin as the king of Twitter (sorry Ashton, but you will have to come to the realization that you are no longer relevant). His fans are pleading with him to write or a dedicate a song to this poor young girl. So far, he has acknowledged the plea, as he (or his savvy PR folks) tweeted "Life is a blessing and appreciation for our time here with each other is important. #ripaprilbieber" at 2:24 AM early Tuesday, March 30, 2010.
Will Justin give his fans what they want? Does he have an obligation to this girl and her fellow beliebers? I don't think a simple tweet will be enough to not risk angering his 1,649,843 followers and I am not sure that's something he wants to do.

Sorry, the only name that caught my eye was Britney Spears.
I am a huge fan of her! Right now, my favorite song has to be Everytime. It’s a ballad, but she just sounds so real in that song. I also love her songs from the Circus album, especially Unusual You and If U Seek Amy.
I also like her older songs, like Hit Me Baby One More Time, Oops!…I Did it Again, Stronger, Toxic, etc.
I also found some unreleased songs, and my favorite is Mona Lisa. It’s very creepy, yet so addicting.
Also, I suggest listening to Carrie Underwood, Jordin Sparks, and Kelly Clarkson! They all have amazing voices, but I prefer Carrie’s voice and music.
