Review Britax Marathon 65 Convertible Car Seat

Do not get me wrong .... I can do nothing other than Britax seats at this time. We now have 4 kids and have tried several models. We now have won the others to Goodwill. We now have 5 Britax car seats for 4 children. We now have A couple of Regents, One Parkway (used as being a spare), a Marathon including a Roundabout. I believe like I'm a walking advertisement for Britax and we've been accused of being uptight about car seats.

As far as I'm concerned, there are 3 principal characteristics we look for in a safety seat:

1. Does it fit securely during the vehicle?

Forward facing, this seat is awesome. We now have no latch program in our van, so we in no way had the opportunity to use the waist lock, but I'm sure it will work well. We use the shoulder belt and we've in no way observed any other seat get as safe as our headquarters. As soon as we try to move the seat side to side, the van moves instead. The beauty of program is that after pressing the lap belt down as far as I can, then passing the shoulder belt in a slot that latches on a side in the seat. As soon as you've done that, the belt does not develop any slack. after a excellent measure, you attach the strap towards bottom in the back seat (or an anchoring hook in some cars). This seat does not move after that.

Rear facing, the seat can be improved. This can be why the seat isn't 5 stars from me. The lock down mechanism is tightened additional by the thickness in the tape. Unfortunately, it can pop open with out a lot pressure. (As a side note, the lock on a side of our older Roundabout works great. This can be one more design. Not sure if Britax notion they had been improving and have changed the design or if they have one more lock on this seat.) The annoying thing is which you need to always check to determine if it's published.

2. Nation in the straps is important. I have not observed One manufacturer compare the high quality in the straps. The shoulder straps are thick and wide. Not fold back on themselves or get tangled. It also expands upon the shoulders of his son.

3. Child comfort. The side protection for the head are ideal for As soon as you're tired and safety foam stands out as the same as you'd discover in bike helmets.

In general, the seat is great. If I could have given it 4.5 stars, I would have. The problem is rear facing minor to us because we can use our Roundabout rear facing, but for somebody who requirements to use looking back to your while, could possibly be additional of a problem. I hope Britax improves that One thing, but overall, this seat is highly suggested by me.
