Make Money Online UK – My Journey So Far

Hi Guys,

When I typed in Make Cash Online UK into the search engines mid way through 2009,
I was an absolute novice who was easily suckered into anything advertised as big bucks which
required little work.

At this time in my life I just wanted to supplement my investment property business, which was supposedly ramping up… Thats another story for another day, and it has worked out well for me, but I tend to just let it do its own thing now rather than search for more debt!

So, here I was typing ‘make money online UK’ into the search engines, and bugger all good
opportunities seemed to appear on the first page. I was confused and a mostly frustrated as I knew that I would make a good go of it, I just didnt know how to find something which was going to work for me, and wasnt a scam. I am assuming that that sounds familiar? Have you typed in ‘Make Money Online
UK’ as well?

It seemed most of the online business opportunities were US based, which at the time didnt
really interest me, as I wanted something which would work for me here in England, and also when I head (if the wife lets us) move back to Australia. Not something which many people have managed?

So, I ended up going to an online company called www.businessopportunitywatch.com (which by
the way is fantastic) and joined up temporarily to have a look at what was on offer.

The two top rated businesses were www.wealthyaffiliateuniversity.com and www.gardenprofits.co.uk, so what did I go and do? I bought into both! I dont do anything by halves, and this has hurt me in the past.

What have I experienced? Its a shame, but Garden Profits as a business didnt work out for me. I like the model, I just dont believe it works in all parts of the UK (email me at danielwardrope [at] gmail.com if you want to hear my thoughts in detail). Wealthy Affiliate University has gone brilliantly for me, and I actually jump out of bed every morning facing my make money online UK challenge head on with plenty of grit, which is what you need my friends!

There are plenty of you asking for sure, whyt have I gone with an American based company in Wealthy Affiliate University?
Well, its because even though I am learning from a .com based in the US, what the university teaches is global. I dont think there are any boundaries when it comes to making money on the internet - it shouldnt know any boundaries..
An example is that my website will turn up within search engines if searched in www.google.co.uk and but not as easily on the .com version. Saying that, some of you Americans may be reading this post. Pretty sweet right!

So in summary, my journey since typing in “Make Cash Online UK” a year ago has been interesting, hard work and alot of fun. I have never been a morning person, yet the excitement my online business is generating allows me to jump out of bed at 5.30am every day, crazily on weekends too!! Christ, I dont even have a big night with my boys on Friday night anymore cause I couldnt stand being hungover sitting by the computer the next day.

My advice? Dont expect to buy something which has already been done for you, and all you have to do is turn the key to make it work on auto pilot. It wont work, as you wont understand the basics of your new venture. Thats the fun part in my eyes!

Honestly, I would recommend WA as the only starting point if you want to learn about the internet.
