Nfl Tickets – Fantasy: Top 5 Tight Ends
Author: Morgan Dunn
Historically, the tight end position has not featured very many players who have helped sell NFL tickets, but in more recent years the position has evolved. There are now a number of tight ends who post impressive receiving numbers year in and year out. Here I rank the tight ends who I think will turn in the five best fantasy performances this season.
1. Antonio Gates, San Diego: This collegiate basketball player turned NFL star is hands down the best tight end in the league. His combination of speed, size, hands and the ability to use his body make him basically uncoverable. Gates is quarterback Philip Rivers’ favorite target and consistently puts up incredible numbers for a tight end. He’s one of the many players on the Chargers whose playmaking ability help sell NFL tickets in San Diego.
2. Jason Witten, Dallas: Witten is Tony Romo’s number two option behind Terrell Owens. Witten is big, strong and has great hands. In Dallas’ pass-happy offense, Witten gets plenty of balls thrown his way. He’ll consistently put up top-tier tight end numbers for years to come.
3. Dallas Clark, Indianapolis: Peyton Manning and the Colts love to run two-tight end sets and Clark is one of Manning’s favorite targets. If Marvin Harrison has trouble staying healthy again, the team is going to depend heavily on Clark. He had a breakout season in 2007 and should only improve in 2008.
4. Kellen Winslow, Cleveland: We all know he’s “a soldier,” but he’s also the son of one of the greatest tight ends in the history of the game, Kellen Winslow Sr. Winslow has the talent to be the best tight end in the league and has put together some really good seasons thus far. His athleticism and speed are off the charts for a player of his size and strength, making him a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses.
5. Tony Gonzalez, Kansas City: This receiving tight end trend is so new that there was a time in Gonzo’s career that he was pretty much the only consistent receiving threat in the NFL other than Shannon Sharpe. He’s not the first guy to do it, but he’s seemed to help usher in its acceptance more than any other player. Tony is not what he used to be, but he’s still a top five fantasy tight end. Quarterback Brodie Croyle should use him a lot.
Some up and coming tight ends I’d also keep an eye on are Vernon Davis and Heath Miller. Never has the NFL had so many tight ends so skilled in the passing game. These guys serve as an extra receiver and make the game more exciting, only increasing sales in NFL tickets.

who better than Manning? no one that’s who.
Running Backs are solid. McGahee’s going to have a season, and westbrook if healthy all year will produce for you. I hope you have a solid backup for when they have bye weeks
WR: Wayne is one of the top 5 receivers, I think Brown will produce solid numbers for you. I wouldn’t start Jackson just yet.
TE: Watson’s a beast
K: doesn’t matter…but Wilkins is very good
DEF: One of this year’s best
Nice team hope you have good backups

Decent…Brandon Marshall was a risky draft pick, and you never know what Ochocinco is going to do (it depends alot on how healthy Carson Palmer is this year). I’m not crazy about Jamal Lewis, either…but your team could be good enough to make the playoffs if everything goes your way.

Cutler and McFadden. KC is terrible and the giants will stop the run like they do every week where as the Jets will also stop the run and are vulnerable to passing game so go with Cutler

Johnson, Colston, Burress. Bennett and Moss are both nursing hammy injuries IIRC, and Moss hasnt proven anything in NE yet
Addai and Parker. Betts is a backup or 3rd down back at best right now. Jacobs is solid too, but Addai and Parker are both in better situations right now
McNabb. The Cardinal’s secondary isnt that weak, but their run defense is, so they’re likely to hand the rock to Gore a lot. The Niners’ air attack might be better than last year but its not good yet. McNabb is going to put up big numbers against the Packers. He passes to the backfield a lot, which pads his stats, plus Favre turns it over a lot, which will keep the Eagles’ offense on the field.

Mobile fantasy football starters analyzer- do you know who has the first one if its kind wireless?
There is a company that has a wired and wireless fantasy football line-up analyzer that I have used for two years, who else do you know that has a tool, like this that gives your on-demand personalized expert fantasy line-up analysis for up to five of your rosters?? Just curious if anyone knows of another company? They also have “starter alerts’ that notify you, with better line-up recommendations up to the last minute- before you set your your weekly line-ups…
Pretty cool stuff:

Who should be my week 1 fantasy football starters?
Pick 3 WRs – Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson, Marques Colston, Drew Bennett, or Plaxico Buress. Pick 2 RBs Joseph Addai, Willie Parker, Ladell Betts, or Brandon Jacobs. Pick 1 QB Donovan McNabb or Alex Smith (Alex goes up against the Cardinals or it would be a no brainer). THANKS
Almost forgot…… I also have for RB Jerious Norwood as an option.

Fantasy Football starters: Who should I go with this week?
With the use of a Flex player, I can start any two of these three: Portis (vs NYG), Cutler (vs NYJ), McFadden (vs KC). Which two should I go with this week?
My other back is Chris Johnson and he already got me a ton of points this week.
