Fantasy Football Weekly Rankings
Author: Jay Wilson
We spend much of the pre-season analyzing player rankings during the time leading up to draft day. Once the season gets started, the fantasy football weekly rankings are a valuable tool to predict which players to start and which ones should sit the week on the bench.
There are a ton of factors that can adversely affect a player’s status each week. Injuries, poor performance and off field problems are main issues that can affect a players ranking. If things go according to the pre-season projections, chances are a player will stay at about the same position in the weekly rankings.
The fantasy football weekly rankings can change at a moment’s notice. They are updated all the way up until right before kickoff as a player may be injured and be a game time decision. The teams often wait until right before the game to inform everyone if a player will suit up.
A good fantasy owner will constantly check the weekly rankings and be aware of what is happening with all of their players, their opponent’s players and anyone on the waiver wire that they might be interested in. There is only so much room on a roster and you never know when a player may become available so check as often as possible and you might get a valuable pick up.
Don’t be too obsessed with the rankings as it may lead to irrational decisions. Too often, people over-analyze their decisions and switch up their lineup several times a day. They second guess the rankings and what might happen and it can lead to a lot of confusion and destruction of a team.
Do your homework and get a good feel of what a player is going to do that week and if you are going to play them. Always remember that the fantasy football weekly rankings are there as advice and may not always be the right choice. It’s important that you know what you’re doing and have your own input and above all, make all the final decisions for your team.
Fantasy football weekly rankings are only one of many tools to use when setting your lineup each week. Always keep up with the most current news on players and make sure you find a ranking report that you can trust.

I wish I could say Addai (colts fan), but I think that Brown and Jones will be your best bet. You might also look at the match-ups too.

Browns rush defense is number 29, and Philadelphia is number 10. From a matchup standpoint, Charles wins. Also consider that Charles has four 20 point games in his last five (and two of those were against Pitt and SD). He’s killing it lately, so I’d say you could definitely count on at least 20 points against Cleveland. Gore was great last week, but got shut down by Seattle (and comparatively by Jacksonville), and Philadelphia has a better rush defense than both of them. Start Charles. He’ll do well for you.

I don’t know if I would go with White against the Giants; they have been pretty good against the pass this season – Atlanta is unlikely to make any significant inroads. Between Porter and Curry, they split time (similar to Driver and Jennings), but you may be safe against SD going with both. I would go with Driver, Porter, and Curry, and adjust accordingly next week when Williams comes back off the bye week.
As far as trying to trade, I’m not sure how valuable that advice is given that there is absolutely no context for such speculation. Samuel Johnson probably states my point the best: “When speculation has done its worst, two and two still make four.” Good luck.

Fantasy Football Sit or start week 6?
I can start 3 WR’s. Here’s who I’ve got:
Donald Driver v. Was
Roddy White v. NYG
Jerry Porter @ SD
Ronald Curry @ SD
Roy Williams – Bye
I was planning on going with Driver, White and Porter. What do you think? I hate having two Oakland WR’s and I want to get rid of one, I’m just not sure which.
