Fantasy Football Money ...

NFL Tickets – Fantasy: First Round Mock

Author: Morgan Dunn

Here is how I would expect the first round of a fantasy football draft for a standard scoring 10-team league would go as of Aug. 6.  I've also included the picks that I would make.

Chris Johnson, Running Back, Tennessee Titans: Johnson is pretty much the consensus number one pick in most circles, but I'm a bit wary.  He's coming off a season in which he had a heck of a workload and he's not the biggest of guys.  Still, the dude is nasty when he finds a hole and can take it to the house in the blink of an eye, which is a main reason he's got fans lining up to get NFL tickets to see him play.  (My pick: Chris Johnson.)

Adrian Peterson, Running Back, Minnesota Vikings: Whether Brett Favre comes back or not, expect AP to go number two in most drafts.  He's proven to be a reliable fantasy star since entering the league, and could have a truly huge season in him.  He had some fumbling issues toward the end of last season, but he's reportedly worked hard to quall that problem in the offseason. (My pick: Adrian Peterson.)

Maurice Jones-Drew, Running Back, Jacksonville Jaguars: Jones-Drew performed very well in his first season as the primary ball-carrier in Jacksonville.  However, he did appear to wear down a bit down the stretch.  I think we'll see him get a little lighter of a workload in 2010, but he should still be a fantasy dynamo.  (My pick: Maurice Jones-Drew.)

Ray Rice, Running Back, Baltimore Ravens: Rice broke out to become a fantasy star in 2009 and could be even better in 2010.  His reception total may go down, but I expect his rushing yards to increase, so it could be a wash.  Some of his TDs will get vultured, but he's an elite option.  (My pick: Ray Rice.)

Michael Turner, Running Back, Atlanta Falcons: This is the toughest spot in the draft to land, as there is no clear-cut pick.  Turner had a monster year in 2008 and was having another good season in 2009 before going down with an injury.  I think people will take a chance on his touchdown potential.  (My pick: Steven Jackson.)

Frank Gore, Running Back, San Francisco 49ers: People are falling in love with Gore this season, and understandably so.  He plays in a budding offense and has little competition for carries.  Still, has he ever stayed healthy for an entire season?  (My pick: Andre Johnson.)

Andre Johnson, Wide Receiver, Houston Texans: Johnson is the most reliable wideout in fantasy.  He's eclipsed both 100 receptions and 1,500 yards in both of the last two seasons.  If Matt Schaub can stay healthy for another full season, 2010 could be Johnson's best campaign yet.  (My pick: Frank Gore.)

Steven Jackson, Running Back, St. Louis Rams: Jackson has become somewhat of the forgotten man in fantasy.  He's one of the best running backs in the league, but was stuck in an underwhelming Rams offense last season.  One has to think the St. Louis offense will improve at least a little this season.  Either way, Jackson is a consistent producer week-to-week, which I believe is the key to winning in fantasy football.  (My pick: Randy Moss.)

Drew Brees, Quarterback, New Orleans Saints: Brees is a hot name; winning the Super Bowl certainly didn't hurt.  However, I think this is too early for any quarterback as the position is too deep this season. (My pick: Calvin Johnson.)

Randy Moss, Wide Receiver, New England Patriots: Moss could be in for a huge season in 2010.  Not only should Tom Brady be at full health for this first time since his knee injury, but Moss is in a contract year and will be looking for one final big payday.  (My pick: Michael Turner.)

I find CBS sportsline to be the best. I have been playing fantasy football for 16 years and we have had an online league since around 1999. I have used CBS, Yahoo, ESPN, FoxSports, and some others that are no longer in existence. Sportsline is a little pricey but the features, articles, and abilities are a lot better than any other league. Also, they will actually offer support. I found ESPN to be the worst of the major providers. I have run into several errors and limitations with ESPN. Also, it is next to impossible to get any support help. One dark horse is Fox Sports. They got into the game late but have really made some awesome improvements.

if you have a 10 person league cbs sportsline is a good option

for 35 dollars each you will be able to pay for the site and still have cash for the winner or winners depending how you split the cash

not as cheap as 5-to 15 but you get what you pay for. If you just want a place to do your scoring their are free sites but they don’t allow much customization

    Fantasy Football Money leagues?
Does anyone know of any sites where you can enter fantasy football leagues for like 15$ or less. I usually play with friends but this year I want some more competition but I don’t wanna pay 25 or more dollars to play. These leagues also need to have a cash payout if possible i don’t want a dang bobble head or something,

    Thanks
Ya send me a link to join
