Bedbug Spray Application - What You Need to Know Before You Buy Bedbug Spray
Author: Mike Evans
Bedbug spray is one of the most important aspects of getting rid of bedbugs. I encourage people that have bedbugs to spend some time researching their options before making a final decision on what to do. The biggest thing that people forget to consider when buying spray is how to apply the spray. It is important that the spray you buy is applied correctly to achieve the best results.
Bedbug spray should be applied in every single nook and cranny in the room. Before you even use the spray, you need to take apart your entire room including your bed. Your bed is the center of the infestation in your room. Treat the underside of your box springs for the infestation. Do not treat your mattress with bug spray as this is where you live sleep every night.
Make sure you treat all of the baseboards in the room. Treat all of the baseboards and cracks and crevices. Bedbugs can literally hide under the floor and behind the walls. You need to treat under carpets too. Bedbugs are famous for hiding under carpets and waiting for dinner to arrive when you go to sleep at night.
You also need to treat the walls and electrical outlets as well as the windows. You also need to treat the light fixtures, take down the curtains and blinds and treat those too. To treat your clothing, you need to clean all of your laundry in hot water. If you don’t treat every aspect of the room that is infested, the room will still have bedbugs.
Bedbug spray application is extremely important to get rid of bedbugs. I encourage you to get all of the help and information you can to get rid of them.

If you have bedbugs, the best way to get rid of them is to smother them. You can get a vinyl zip cover for your mattress that will cover the entire mattress and kill anything living in it. After about a week, you can vacuum out your mattress an everything will be clean again. You can put the cover back on to prevent the problem from happening again as well as prevent dust from accumulating in the mattress. You are also supposed to wash any bedding that has been on the bed on the very hottest water cycle in your washer, then hang in the sun to dry, to kill any that are left. The sprays only kill the surface bugs and once it dries, they come from deep within the mattress to chew on you again.

There is a flea spray you can purchase at a pet store. They can be used on things like this…however they are toxic and you will have to leave the house for a day.
I’d suggest calling a exterminator and make sure it is fleas. They will also have a product to use in your home as well.

Travis,
As the previous person noted, an exterminator may be the answer but you may also want to get some spray – but many of the ones in the stores are not really great in my opinion.
Instead, check online for some that truly work. The one I used that worked wonders was called BedBug Terminator and is made and sold by a company called Kleen-Free.
Kills the bugs on contact and will also spoil the eggs so they do not hatch later.
Good luck.

what kind of flea/tick/bedbug spray is safe to put on a mattress?
Somehow, with no carpets & no pets, I seem to have fleas (or something, I’m not sure, but they appear to be flea bites). I was wondering if anyone knew of any indoor spray that I can use on EVERYTHING (ie. bedding, mattress, upholstery, carpets, etc.) that is safe. Thanks!
it’s definitely fleas. I tried the trick where you put water and soap in a dish and leave a light on it over night and i caught about five fleas.
