Optimum 100 Whey Protein: Is it worth it?

By NBPuser On August 11, 2010 Under Reviews

Recently I was telling my friend about the great taste of Optimum 100 whey protein and how they should try it. Basically, they responded back to me the same thing I had started to think about all of the whey protein products that are out there. They said there was no way that it tasted the way it said and that they would stick with the cheap product they bought since they refused to pay more for a product that would taste just as bad as the one they took.

With that said, I challenged them. I told them that the vanilla ice cream flavor would taste the same as a vanilla shake and to prove it I would make them one of each. They agreed, so I went to work. I mixed up the Optimum 100 whey protein, which was the vanilla ice cream flavor and put it in one class and then mixed up a vanilla milk shake and put it into another glass.

After finishing the mixing process for both, I handed them both and they started the tasting. Boy were they amazed. Basically, they told me that both of the drinks tasted the same and they could not tell the difference. However, they were still skeptical. After tasting them, they went on to say that there was no way that the Optimum 100 whey protein had the same kind of nutritional value as theirs or others on the market.

Of course, they were stunned when I told them that it actually had 24 grams of real protein within each serving. After learning all of this information they decided they no longer were going to take a supplement that had less protein and tasted like garbage, but would now benefit from a whey protein supplement that tasted good and had a lot of protein as well.
