British comedy always a touch above the rest

Having watched some the better comedys that the United States have to offer you have to admire the English comedies slightly more. This is not a "sense of humour" thing, far from it, but the ability to make people laugh at a rate of almost each time every couple of seconds.

Two and a Half Men is a prime example of US comedy at it's best where viewers would laugh very much out loud twice a minute. Friends was also in this league but became too much of a "drama" in it's final year. Two and Half Men on the other hand stuck to what it knew best and did very well not to turn a brilliant comedy into a dramatised comedy.

In the UK there is Only Fools and Horses, Last of the Summer Wine, and literally hundreds of other titles that simply get viewers stuck to the television screens. One of the most reason comedies is that of the Benidorm TV series which has hooked a very decent amount of viewers and what is probably even better is that the rights to screen this in other languages, or perhaps other countries to produce their own, based on the Benidorm idea will surely be available so that the whole world can watch them.

This has been done already with Two and a Half Men and looks to be a very succesful path that British comedy have not followed for some reason or another. Whether it be the language or simple copyright legalities one will never know but many of the British greats need to be released to the World soon.

They have made the whole of the UK laugh, and this is definately something that will also work abroad too.
