Some Insight about the Usage of Industrial Rubber

There are two types of rubber. It is not a well known fact that rubber is truly a green material as it is produced from latex derived from plants, most notably rubber trees. One is natural and obtained from latex milk from rubber trees and the other is produced by a series of chemical reactions by using various components in the chemical lab. Most petroleum products are used for obtaining artificial rubbers. Since petroleum is used, artificial rubber contains carbon as its primary component.

These artificial rubbers are primarily used in the production of radial tires used in automobile industry. This evolved during the Second World War where it was difficult to obtain latex milk from rubber tree. While using artificial rubbers for automobile industry is done, the quality is the main thing to be considered.

Rubber products used in the house hold: Some of the commonly used rubber household products are rubber sheets, rubber mattings, and rubber floorings. We use rubber products very often in our normal day to day activities. Gloves and other common usage products are made of artificial rubbers.   When using rubber products in our households, particularly for kitchen products and utensils, we should make sure the quality of rubber used in the product is good and the product is certified. Many quality products produced from rubber are designed to be more energy efficient in both homes and businesses.

Since rubber is good in shock resistance and acts as a good non-conductor it is extensively used in the electrical goods as well. We see more and more usage of rubber usage in electrical products these days, which confirms this theory.
