Man on this earth is a slave

It is an old saying that man was born free but he is found in chains at all the time. If we apply this principle to our own life, we too shall find that we are not free. We too have got so many fears, controls, disciplines and the like which do not allow us to live a free life.

Man is a social animal. His family, his society and the state in which he is living have prescribed codes of conducts for him and he is obliged to follow all those norms in life and if he fails, the family can oust him, the people around him would discard him and if he commits a crime, the state shall catch him and shall send him to jail. The man is living in the family, in the society, in the religion and in the state only because he is concealing so many things and thus is saving himself from the punishment. The man on this earth knows that if his actions are out, if his thoughts are out, if his wishes are out, there are chances that he may run away from those who are known to him or there are chances that he may commit suicide. He is thankful to God who has given him an opportunity to conceal his things and thus save himself.

Man was an animal and when he started creating and adopting code of conducts only then he could raise himself and now he is called a social animal. The must learn to live in family, in the religion to which he belongs and to the society to which he belongs. The man must know to which religion he belongs and he is bound to follow the norms of that religion. He must know to which family he belongs and he must know the norms of that family. The man belongs to a society and he must know the norms of that society. The man lives in a country and he must know what are his duties and obligations towards his country. The man on this earth is never free.

The man has created and established himself in such a way that he must know that he shall have to earn for himself and for his family and he needs money. There is nothing free on this earth. Even water, air, heat, cold, food, clothes, accommodation need money and if a man is not earning, he shall die and his family shall also suffer. The man has started educating himself and therefore, he shall have to acquire proper education, proper training and then proper selection of work where he shall have to work and earn for himself and for his family. Then this man needs proper income, proper status, proper reputation and proper health. All these items need constant care and constant struggle and if a man fails, he shall die and his family shall also suffer.

The man has been given so many items of discipline by his religion and he is bound to follow those norms. In spite of all his efforts, the man is sure that he is not following all the norms which have been established by his religion. Similarly the man on this earth knows that he is concealing so many things from his wife, from her husband, from his children and the like because those activities and thoughts are not within the norms prescribed. The man knows that he has to make so many efforts to conceal his things and therefore, he remains under pressure and is never free. The man is not allowed to enjoy life because it is full of responsibilities, cares and the like and while living this life he is afraid of God who shall be punishing him when he dies. He has been told that the man shall have to give his accounts and since most of his deeds were not within the norms prescribed, he has got a fear in his mind that he shall be punished by God and there are chances that he shall be sent to Hell where he would be given even corporal punishment.

A man may show that he is rich, he has got all the facilities of life, he has got a family, he has got children who are going on well, he has got money and there is no chance that he would turn a poor person, but still he has got so many fears in his mind and he remains insecure till he is living on this earth. Man had been running from this life and had been sitting in meditation, but still he had to run towards the people for begging his food and other needs. Man has come on this earth and he is not allowed to run and if he runs even then he has to run towards this living life to meet his needs. So man cannot run and he has to face all the these difficulties. Even God cannot save him from these difficulties and problems of this earth and if we see life of those who were Gods, Goddesses, Prophets, Avtartas, Bhagatas, Gurus had been suffering all the difficulties of life and they too could not save themselves.
