Do’s and Don’ts to Get Ur Ex Back

If you want to "get ur ex back" as we like to say online, there are some do's and some don'ts you should follow.  Here are some of them.

DO give your ex some space.  After all, they didn't break up with you so they could spend every minute around you.  A break-up doesn't have to be for good, but your ex obviously needs some away-time.  In fact, sometimes that's ALL your ex really needs, and they may not even know it.  But they'll never figure it out if you're constantly in their (mental or physical) space.

DON'T try and spy.  It sounds creepy when you hear about someone else doing it.  But if you've ever been on the end of a break-up trying to figure out if your ex dumped you for someone else or was perhaps listening to a silver-tongued devil, you probably didn't consider any information-gathering to be a form of spying.  But they probably will.  Don't do it, because it just looks creepy.

DO be polite and mature about the whole thing.  We all assume we're mature, and many of us don't understand the reasons for being "polite" after a break up.  But these are important, both when you have to deal with your ex as well as when you deal with his or her friends.  Sometimes this takes special effort in stressful situations--but you won't get anywhere acting immature or rude.

DON'T try and guilt them back into being with you.  When somebody hurts you, it's hard to believe that they haven't done something wrong.  And if they've done something wrong, then they should feel guilty about it--right?

Not necessarily.  They were only doing what they thought was best at the time.  Keep in mind that they didn't break up with you because they wanted to hurt you.  The hurt is inevitable, but it is rarely anybody's main goal.

And if your ex's main goal really was to try and hurt you, you're not doing yourself any favors if you try to get your ex back!
